It makes me feel like i'm trying to remember a fogged up memory of a loved one, tucked away in the depths of my consciousness. One that's been absorbed in the mass of recollections and has lost it's distinctive touch, now when I 'recall' upon it, it's just a blurry image. More of a feeling than an event, or person. And for some reason i'm trying to detangle it from the webs of my mind, desperately. I get close, so close but then it's gone again, making me wonder if it happened in the first place or if it's just something I made up. (Or: just me trying to remember the correct dates on the history exam I just sat through lmao)
When I was a little kid (3-4) I lived in a small town in the smoky mountains and I used to run around in the woods and creek behind my house in dresses that made me feel like a fairy and this was my favorite song. My mom used to play carnival of the animals and this was always my favorite. I forgot about this but this song is bringing everything back wthhhhh
When I was a kid I'd visit the Sydney aquarium and spend hours sitting in front of the biggest glass tank they had. It was huge, glass stretching all the way up to the ceiling of the viewing room it was in. Here you could sit down, marvel at the large fish and the sharks that swam inside, while the light emanating from the tank would paint your skin all shades of blue and white. I'd sit there, while this very piece of music played in the background on repeat. The water would dance before me, seemingly in time with the music, and I'd feel nothing but this magical kind of calmness. For any kid, feeling afraid and uncertain of everything in the world around them, that kind of tranquility is pretty rare. It's even moreso rare in my life today. So are those feelings of childhood bliss, wonder and enchantment. I'm reminded of that listening to this again now. Thanks for taking me back.
I always loved this song as a child, one day I heard this tune again. So many memories came flooding back. This piece has never left my memory, only for short periods of time. Oh my god I was just transported back to the Sydney Aquarium. We used to go there all the time as kids, and they always had this playing - iirc - at the giant tank with the gazillions of different fish at the end of the museum. It was just a giant dark, quiet room with an enormous tank in the middle that you would walk around, full of rocks and coral and fish and small sharks. Used to just sit on the floor in front of the glass and watch as this played in the back.

I've awaken in a dream. I am in a cloud city, I look out the window onto the city and see it in ruins. A horror of decadence had eroded this once majestic city. The room i'm in is pristine and untouched by time. I open the door outside the room, not a single sound is heard save the mild creaking of the door, sending my heart racing from the echo it made down the hall announcing my stirring to the building. Outside there were dried walls with crusted paint, torn edges revealed a caking substance ready to fall apart at the slightest touch. The air itself seemed cloaked in dust, the mood's color was the same as what I saw, grey and dismal. In the distance i hear a sudden pace of steps and they vanished quicker than i could ascertain their origins. My breath becomes rasped. Continuing down the hallway, i am greeted by withered steps and a door behind me. The door knob doesnt budge. Another sound, what seems to be someone playing the piano softly. It was too far to determine where it came from, if i had to tarry i guess, id say it was the basement of where ever i was. I descended the steps, each step making an explosion of sounds. I finally set the idea i was alone if only to finish getting down. The sudden steps erupted again. This time it was somewhere behind me. Panic struck, i fled to the right, all i saw was an open room, it appeared to be an auditorium, there were chairs piled against all the walls in four directions, they covered the doors to get out. The space made me become more visible, without a single place to hide. This time the stairs were consumed by the heavy steps. It was coming! The sound was violence to my spirit. I had to go. In the middle of the room i was able to see one door was left uncovered and was left open. I saw a flight of stairs that descended below. My heart sank again. The idea of going farther underground only fastened my thoughts of a grave. It was only a dream i reminded myself. I ran towards the stairs, without looking back. The faint piano playing returned. It was better than the angry steps. I came to a door, behind it was an empty room, possibly a rectory and it had a piano in the distance along with a boiler and two small windows and a table. I went in. The piano stopped. There was no one there. Why was I here? The dread nauseated me. The dream became eeriely tangible, I felt my age, the anxiety of time pressing itself against my will and mortality coming for me. I missed the music. Why was I here? The mad steps came crashing again, closer. I looked at the windows and realized they were black because they were blocked on the other side. The boiler had seen better days. I could break the leg off the table and fight. Instead, I walked over slow to the piano. Fear still in my throat like an abusive lover. I heard the aria from before: but it never came from the piano. In my mind I traced the song like the curves and skin of a partner. There was an emphatic warmth from the notes, a calling. The foot steps got faster. I didnt care though. I was gone. All my fears drained away into the piano. The steps came with the crashing of the crescendo and I with it. I turned to the door to face my fate: only to look upon myself in a panic state as if a twisted mirror bewitched me, and a curdling scream escaped my lips, drowned out by the piano, titled a dying song...

I run I run into nothingness idk where I'm going? When I fall from a bunch of stairs. Ow.... wait? . . . I'm feeling pain, as you wake up and make a grumpy face because you forgot you had a presentation today at school jeez-
