Man, these opening jams are just wonderful. Everyone else is usually doing a blues, metal or prog stuff. I love how melodic and accessible this is. I'd buy an album of this stuff.
These guitars look like high gain machines, so I didn't expect jangling clean and low overdrive tones on the outset. It shows how just getting the pickups voiced right can make or break a guitar. Thanks for the great demo.
how how how can you guys be so melodic... Its always a treat to ear, I already got a Tele so not interested in buying any guitar at the moment but I come to your videos around 5 times a day just to listen to the great jams you guys do... And not to forget Pete and Rabea your combination is deadly... Wish could take lessons from you guys...
Ow yes! That intro! I'm working from home this morning and couldn't help but jam along these fine gentlemen. What a lovely way to wake up! Thanks Pete and Rabea
During my search for my next guitar.. Saw plenty of review videos for sterling axis and liked them all.. But this was the video that hit me hard to grab up that guitar... The opening melody and the later description made this 450 dollar guitar worth more than a USA custom gibson for me and that's enough.. Today i am a proud owner because of them.. Cheers!
Everyone putting down Rob and lee, are forgetting about blindfold challenges. That's the reason I subbed, was after watching a blindfold challenge and being blown away by Rob's knowledge.
I Have a Red Maple Veneer SUB AXIS 3, Sounds Great Also a Sterling Sillouhette, in Black an OLP Sillouhette in Red, and an OLP AXIS Double Neck 12/6 in Sunburst.I Love the Sterling Sound!!
I like that the pickups are mounted to the body. $400 USD here in 2022! Still seems like a good deal ; ) I listened to the intro and outro jams many times. I'm gonna have to start ripping these to my iTunes library.
After a year of ownership, I can safely say they didn't steer me wrong. My Axis is my go-to guitar. The fretboard darkened a lot, too. The only bad thing is the tremolo, it never stayed in tune for me, so I just added a spring and forgot it was there. Sterling just released flame-top versions of these.
Still have this guitar, still love it. Even though other guitars have been released that have things like roasted necks, rolled fingerboard edges, etc., nothing has made me want to trade this and "upgrade." The fingerboard has darkened even more (and I didn't use any oil or anything on it) and I figured out how to get the tremolo to work and stay relatively in tune. Now the only complaint I have is that it has a screw-in trem bar instead of a push-in bar, so it's wobbly and won't stay where you put it. I may upgrade the tremolo or just get some trem bar screws and call it good. All in all, it's the best guitar buying decision I've ever made.
To my liking .The MOST melodic and fine guitar players at this moment . Start thinking recording something together. The capacity of Rabea when plays ambient guitar is excellent and the superb finesse of Pete"s playing anything results in a combination not seen in the musical ambient today......The Les Paul and Chet Atkins of this generation...(This collaborations remindsme me "Chester & Lester")::::Greeting from Mexico.
Thank you Pete and Rabea! After watching your video, I purchased a white axis. I prefer videos where you get clean and OD sounds. If a guitar doesn't sound good clean, then they are not for me! Keep up the great work!
Awesome video! These two sure do know how to showcase a guitar. I’ve been wanting to check out this new Sterling Axis. Seems like a great guitar packed full of features at an affordable price. I’m sold!
I’m surprised Pete lasted that long not playing guitar while Rabea showed some tones. Lol but enjoy listening to the two of these guys playing together. Pete is insanely talent guitarist, and Rabea is my idol.
I got 1 of these guitars, mine has a maple neck with a red type quilt top. They really are awesome value, I have US made guitars and these are right up there.
I have been reading a lot of great things about Sterling lately and after the last two demos that Andertons did convinced me to buy one. Went into my local guitar shop and had the manager order me a White Axis 3. 9 days later I received a call saying that my Axis was in. Went into the shop and the manager immediately said that he was amazed and surprised with the quality and would ordering more based on my single order i made. My only gripe with the guitar is the frets, i think they use 6105 (tall &skinny) frets. Fit, finish, weight & hardware are all top quality , especially the trem system. It is on point. Amazing guitar for any one and even better value for first time player, its a MUST !!
Great Caesar's ghost, that intro jam! And these guitars didn't even go through a setup (at Anderton's) before they played them. This line has got to be top of the list for bang for the buck 💰👍
It's The Dane, but the link is missing. Tone is in the Fro !! That second position you like so much is probably like the split/phasey tone on the St Vincent.
Oh yes indeedy!! Strewth these two are magic together, I doubt there is a better demonstration of these guitars anywhere online, it was stunningly good.
I used to have a AX4, it sounded fine and I liked the 5-way pickup switch, but never really wanted a Floyd Rose style tremolo and found it annoying to work and set up. Sold it for an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and have been much happier with it. Great video and playing as usual.
Dam Is so good to see you two guys jammy again!!! 21 minutes that I absolutely enjoy seeing!!! peter and bead are you two should some proyect man will be EPIC
Great video. So great I went out and bought one! The feel on this guitar is great and well beyond anything of the price. The Pick Ups are Unbelievable. Amazingly different voicing you really wouldn't expect at that price! NOT (just) a shred guitar! This can do ANYTHING!
Abhilash Raghuram no problem at all . Stays perfectly in tune. Pick ups are awesome. Great for shred, blues, classic rock, clean. Still can't believe how versitile it is. I play mostly 80s rock when jamming to recording but usually blusey stuff when jamming to backing tracks. And I only have a cheap Line 6 Spider 15 so it's 90% guitar and pick ups for tone. You will love it. Mine is black cos that's what they had, but the white looks better in my opinion. I hope you love it as much as I do. Cheers!
Also, I didn't like the neck profile the first time I played it in a store, but each time I played it to compare to the other guitars I liked (mostly the Prs se range) it grew on me until I liked it more than anything else. Up until that time I hadn't plugged anything into an Amp, as soon as I did the Sterling was 100% better in my opinion, the pick ups are 5 clearly different tones and each is versitile to even more tones when you add a lttle of anything, or a lot. Cheers.
What an intro!!! God that was beautiful!!!! Those guitars seems to be real workhorses. Really nice guitar!!! By far, one of the best review of the year!!!!
I bought a white one offline yesterday!!! Can’t wait til it arrives.. I chose it over a G&L tribute fallout.. I think I made the right choice.. this is more me :)
Bea mentioned OLP...the OLP MM1 is such a ridiculously great playing Axis inspired guitar for little money. I own a MM Axis which is unreal guitar but to me the OLP MM1 neck is just phenomenal...and their pickups aren’t too shabby, either, OLP MM1 are some of the best kept secrets! especially you can pick one up for less than 200 bucks any day of the week. I’ll be buying more for sure
OLP = officially licensed product (Ernie ball, music man official specs), I have the olp stingray 5. They are a great well built money saver if you can't afford an Ernie ball !!!.
Yeah but I remember their non-floyd axis style guitars had a Fender vintage style 6 screw bridge rather than the Musicman style you see on the Sterlings
Special things happen when Pete and Bea jam
In my trousers
More from Rabea and Pete
yes. @ 16:33 lets talk about it!
It's funny cuz your last name is Chapman lol
Man, these opening jams are just wonderful. Everyone else is usually doing a blues, metal or prog stuff. I love how melodic and accessible this is. I'd buy an album of this stuff.
Michael Ryan
It should have its own Genre... Fantasy Blues
Its similar to what Buckethead plays😍
Me too..
Greetungs from KSA..Riyadh
Bea and Danish Pete playing guitar = Ear candy!
My ears are pregnant.
My ears are happy!
that intro ain't got NO business getting me in my feels like that

MAN... Music Man is a clearly the best guitar maker on the planet right now...
And bass... Arguably one of the best, most versatile, most unique sounding basses out there is the LEGENDARY StingRay
It has been for sometime people just catching on
That opening jam is just amazingly beautiful! Holy balls... Looks like a lot of guitar for the money. Might be getting this
if you like this check out Sail on soothsayer by Buckethead. he often uses this Aeolian/natural minor mode
@@gegolis123 I tried to get into Buckhead (hate being negative,) but it's not happening, like on soothsayer he repeats the same line over and over
Rabea and Pete have such flavor and soul! I love it!
If I was a billionaire I'd hire these two to play in the background while I watched the sun go down on a tropical beach sipping a large scotch.
I'll chip in.
😁
Wouldn’t you rather play the guitar yourself and watch the Sun set?
With my arthritic fingers I couldnt dream of producing tones like Bea can
Can we please have some more of this?! Rabea and Pete together is GOLD!!! :D
That's straight into my top 10 Anderton's jams.
These guitars look like high gain machines, so I didn't expect jangling clean and low overdrive tones on the outset. It shows how just getting the pickups voiced right can make or break a guitar. Thanks for the great demo.
Holy crap! I was expecting these to just be heavy rock machines, but those cleans and crunchy tones dropped my jaw!
We want a Danish Pete guest solo on the next Dorje album please!!!
Tom Reid you mean first dorje album?
@@Fenar_ I mean I guess that would be cool too
how how how can you guys be so melodic... Somehow, these 2 always produce magic when they are together! Beautiful intro!
Ow yes! That intro! I'm working from home this morning and couldn't help but jam along these fine gentlemen. What a lovely way to wake up! Thanks Pete and Rabea
I've had a musicman guitar for 25 years, it is Rock Solid stable and sounds like a dream.
Cheers!
Bea's tone from 11:48 to 12:15 is possibly the best I've ever heard.
Listening to you two jam just brings a smile to my face. 🙂
Man do I love the tones Rabea gets. And Pete is just a beast. Awesome stuff.
I have the AX3FM (writing this in 2023). It’s a great guitar, I’ve been very pleased with it. It’s my main daily player now.
How would you compare it to guitars in the same range as PRS SE and RG421
Absolutely fantastic playing in this video! Rabea and Pete are gods!
That jam was something else, loved both players!
I love the demonstrations on the individual instruments! Especially that it's with more than one person, which more closely mimics real gigs or jams.
Everyone putting down Rob and lee, are forgetting about blindfold challenges. That's the reason I subbed, was after watching a blindfold challenge and being blown away by Rob's knowledge.
I haven't even watched the whole video yet and I had to stop to comment.... That intro was brilliant!
GEEZ that opening jam tore a hole in my soul. Pete's playing reminds me of buckethead when he doesn't go all out
One of my favorite things of this chanel is the jams, you guys are just great pleayers !

Wow what an intro. Great playing. Pete that was beautiful.
Just an awesome video guys. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow..what a dynamic duo that is..!..beautiful sounds!
You two need to make an album you guys are awesome
That last jam! Pete getting into the heavy spectrum
After a year of ownership, I can safely say they didn't steer me wrong. My Axis is my go-to guitar. The fretboard darkened a lot, too. I cant remember the last time I clicked on a Rob and Lee video. LOL These two are proper musicians in their soul.
put the jams on spotify! i'd listen to that intro jam on loop

Pete and Rab say no more! Amazing!

Opening stuff is really beautiful. Best I have heard from Andertons
Damm Pete really has a gift to play guitar. He always makes me wish I could play like that.
That guitar looks like an ukulele in Rabbeas hands😀

some of Pete's demo gave some serious clean buckethead vibes! 100% the best demo I've heard

It's The Dane, but the link is missing. Tone is in the Fro !! That second position you like so much is probably like the split/phasey tone on the St Vincent.
Just killin' fellas! Loved that intro.
That was awesome!!!!! I just got the white one for my birthday two weeks ago. Good bang for the buck boys.
I love the opening. It's not all metal; a little melody & rhythm is nice once in a while from Andertons.

I bought that guitar because of you guys and i have to testify that it really sounds like the review ❤️ thank you so much guys. I owe you this one.
I wanna buy one too, what’s ur opinion of it, like does the trem hold tune?

I love this guitar - prefer the white as the black is a magnet for dust and fingerprints. Love Rabea and Danish Pete too
that guitar shape is the coolest thing in the business man

Sterling Ball is currently running EBMM. That might give you a wee hint where the name came from.
Now I really want one of these guitars!
Stellar playing both love to see more of this 👍🏻
The tone is absolute banger!
Actualy sounds quite gooood! And that shape is my favorite since 1991 :)

For the sake of humanity, these two need to play together more regularly. And, we will do our part in buying all the guitars they demo.
Rabea and Pete need to do an album together !!
P&R jam is the best new thing on Ytube.
Man I love the look of the axis guitars.
Happy Birthday Pete!
Beautiful playing.
The return of the Spankers of Plank! Well done lads. Missed this pairing in a big way.
Magicians with guitars!!! Smokin’ guitars!!!
These two together are where it is at.
