@pshq Thanks so much for the subtitles!! I'm always interested in hearing how a familiar song sounds after it's been localized to a foreign language. Also, the subtitles for the English versions have finally cleared up lyrics that I've misunderstood since the late 1980s!
@@pshq I think the English lyrics are largely correct, but I noticed a few errors. The first one is "Heathcliff just won't be outdone". I'm very certain that the correct version is, "Heathcliff just wont't be undone". (Listen for the two N sounds in the word.) Also, in Version #1 you have written "They'll make up history", and in version 2 "They'll make them history" (!). Actually, the lyric is exactly the same in both, but the 100% correct version is, "They'll make 'em history". ('em is a slang form of them; notice that there's no "th" sound in the word.) Finally, you have written "You'll find in each calamity" in both versions... but there really isn't any "You'll" being sung in that lyric. The correct version is simply, "Find in each calamity". That fits with the rhytm of the song, too. (Small additional detail: I think it's more correct to write "every day" as two words in the context it's being used in the Cats & Company song, rather than "everyday".)
Strange isn’t it? The Ruby-Spears cartoon of Heathcliff was named Isidoro in the Italian dub and the Italia 1 dub of this cartoon also had a Isidoro title card.
@@Sideburn4000 So where's the problem? By the way.. he played the French version right after the English... heck! And look.. the Spanish one right after the Portuguese one.. heck!

@@pshq But there's a slight difference between them. The first one doesn't have the "Oh o-oh o-o-oh o-h, o-o-oh oh oh-oh o-o-oh o-oh" verse like in the European Spanish opening and the second one has.
Wow...I'm surprised how good the French one is, and I like that they give equal billing to Riff Raff (the German lyrics in contrast focus solely on Heathcliff) Really most of these are good (though I don't speak most of those languages so I'm just going on vibes with those) The only terrible ones are the first Basque one (what is that even?) the second Polish one (what did they do to the music/melody?) and the Croatian singers sound discordant to me (either that's a cultural thing, in which case I withdraw my critique, or they are trying to imitate cats singing?)

I hope all the lyrics are correct in my video. I consulted them with people, so they should be. Thank you for your comment ^^

10:32 Wait... why is the Italian version titled "Isidoro" when they keep singing "Heathcliff" in the song? :P

@@techrips Yeah, I see what you mean.
I don't think they told the lyricist about the name change
I can't believe you played the German and the Hebrew versions back to back. I know it's in alphabetical order, but heck XD
Lmao, didn't even think about it but still, not my fault, blame the alphabet, yeah xD
@@pshq No it's fine. I just found it amusing that it had turned out by accident.

Do you have any episodes of The Catalan dub, if so, please reply.
Were there any Russian versions of this show?
Yes, but the song was in English.

I don't monetize my uploads. I didn't participate in picking the ad placement. I can't change it. Sorry ☹
