    You did a wonderful job! Some written patterns can be tricky. Your illustrations were amazing and easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing! Just discovered Bernat Alize Blanket EZ here in the US. Made the first blanket for my first grandchild last year. Plan this year is to give my family(mothers, brothers, nieces, nephews, adult children) blankets for their birthdays. I’ve already made three, including one for my husband. After watching your video, I’m excited about finishing the rest of the gifts in different patterns. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

      This may be a little late, but I'll answer it anyway for anyone else wondering. It refers to the number of foundation stitches (or in this case loops) that you need. So if it's n*2, it means that you need an even number of foundation loops. You might encounter some patterns in yarn crafts that are more complex like n*5+2, which means that you need to work your stitches in lots of 5 (until it's your desired width) and then add an additional 2. Hope that makes sense!

      Leticia Malagon - the "little equations at the bottom of each pattern" are the number of loops of each repeat of the pattern. For example (pattern #30): n x 8 + 6
      The letter "n" represents the number of times you wish to repeat the pattern. Repeating the pattern only once (a swatch) the beginning loop count would be 1 x 8 + 6 = 14 loops. If you wanted a larger piece, let's say double in size, 2 x 8 = 16 + 6 = 22 loops needed to begin.
      I hope this helps you. 😊

      You probably figured it out so just for others - they are the starting number of loops you need to make the pattern work. So for example n * 9 + 3 means you need a multiple of 9 plus 3, so 12, 21, 30....

    • @sajasidaoui7096
      @sajasidaoui7096 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The numbers are the number for loops needed to make one pattern, which means if you want to make a repeat of a pattern to make a blanket, you just need to make the blanket in multiples of the number written. Eg: if it says n*6 meaning you work in sets of 6 till you get the desired width of the blanket, and every set of 6, you do it has shown in the video.
      Hope I was able to communicate the idea. Once you get the hang of it, you will love it. Happy knitting!

    Hello! I want to make a blanket, sizing 160x180cm. I found on Polish market they sell the yarn in pieces of 9.2m and 55m. Would 3 pieces of 55m (165m) be enough to crochet mentioned blanket? I'm very cautious to choose right size for the amount of yarn I'll buy. Thank you :)

      I'm still confused. 😟What does chain a multiple of refer to as far as the numbers are concerned? 🤔

    • @Wistfu1Stargazer
      @Wistfu1Stargazer 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Daniel Beach - the "note under the pattern" are the number of loops of each repeat of the pattern.
      Example #1: rapport = n* 6 + 4
      The letter "n" represents the number of times you wish to repeat the pattern. Repeating the pattern only once (a swatch) the beginning loop count would be 1 * 6 = 6 + 4 = 10 loops. If you wanted a larger piece, let's say double in size, 2 * 6 = 12 + 4 = 16 loops needed to begin.
      Example #2: rapport = n* 8 + 2 A swatch (one repeat of the pattern) would be 1 * 8 = 8 + 2 = 10 loops. Double the size, 2 * 8 = 16 + 2 = 18 loops.
      I hope this helps you. 😊
