It's great to see people still play the sims 2 in 2024. In my opinion it's the best sims game, You can sense the amount of love that was put into the game. The emotions of the sims felt so real unlike sims 3 and 4 where the sims feel AI. Sims 2 had a few expansion packs but all of them were very good. Open for business, hobbies, apartments and University in the sims 2 are top 5 sims packs of all time for me. The other pack in the top 5 that wasn't in sims 2 was the sims 3 world adventures. I respect the sims 3 but it was too ambitious for it's time. Sims 3 was a jack of all trade master of non but it did have a lot of content so I respect it for trying. One thing the sims 3 had that was better than 2 was mods. The sims 3 had so many good mods that enhancd the game to the next level. The sims 4 is when the developers realized the following they had and the demand for a life simulation game which only they provided at the time making them financially abuse their fanbase. Unless you pirate the sims 4 it's nowhere worth the money you spend for all those expansion and sub packs. This is what happens when a company gets bigger. Greed takes over and you can see it when you compare the sims 4 to it's predicessors
You can definitely feel the amount of love put into it! I never played TS3 but I was pretty disappointed by TS4 and still consider TS2 to be the best of the franchise even if it's a little more limited than TS3. And the amazing thing is that people in the community are STILL modding it and coming up with new and previously thought impossible ways to change the game! (Story progression as one example) I'll continue to play as long as it continues to run on my machine and I look forward to seeing what else the community comes up with 😊 I'm pretty much done with the sims as a franchise though, I'm excited for Paralives personally!
@@simmily I'm excited for Paralives too and Inzoi as well which is a realistic-looking upcoming life simulation game. Also, are you only going to play life simulation games? Are there other genres of games you enjoy playing?
No reshade, just lighting mods! I think at the time of recording this I was using dreadpirate's edit of gunmod's radiance lighting. It should be on their tumblr! 😊
