love these, so informative. If you're down, I'd love to see these maybe once or twice a week. Low commitment, easy content for you, informative stuff for the community.
It is interesting watching how little fancy stuff there is here, just planning a bit further ahead in inspection, I expected to see fancy edge control and ZBLLs but you didn't do any of that, I guess we see the power of basic CFOP with fast turning and efficient pairs.
I use the exact same solutions for f2l and cross (mostly) However I avg 12 seconds. I guess i just need to turn faster or focus on my lookahead more? Great video tho, love it when good people take the time to record some example/walkthrough solves :p
pls more video like this and optionally can you show solutions on white cross? It's very hard for me to follow your f2l and cross solutions(my average is 20)
@@4klegendaryyt379but you can scramble a certain way so that it works with the white cross as well, just hold the cube a bit differently while scrambing
Can you do color neutral solves where you explain why you went with a specific cross? As a color neutral solver, it's sometimes pretty hard to choose between 6 crosses in 15 seconds..
Can't speak for him, but I've heard some share that just quickly glancing at EO and committing to a color with good EO can work wonders, and for myself it's helped a lot. Lots of oriented edges generally makes for an easy cross.
9:26 you cold solve it like this: M U' M' D r' U' R U M' wich gives you key hole L' U L U' D' L' U L D and anothe key hole U' D' L U' L' D' finnish f2l and that gives you "OLL 37" and "Rb perm"
I love your videos so much, you're so motivating, when I am not motivated, I just watch one of your videos and your hands move so fast, it just keeps me motivated, Lol.
Yeah I'm literally so lost. I have no idea what you did for that green x cross on solve 1. I'm so done with walkthrough solves. I'm too dumb to follow. I'll just do it my own way and improve more slowly.

Yes Please! It's good to know we all make silly mistakes during solves sometimes. 😅
I agree, more videos like this please 😭
It is great that you can address your mistakes like that. This is how all example solves should be done. Thanks Luke.
Every time he said "pretty simple" my hopes of becoming a pro cuber died.
6:16 Thanks for the useful OLL alg, it helps a lot!
My new main algorithm!!
@@3DSoocerisn’t that the normal lag for that case?
Thank you luke for sharing your power with us
Bro this guys finger tricks are way to good
dude, seriously your turning is sooo cool to watch. big fan! love your videos!!

luke is the best cuber
Love to hear your thoughts, great solves.
7:00 pseudo pair!
You are the turner bro. Thanks for the reconstructions!
Thank you bro! You are also the turner!

his power has been released, hope you get that wr average some day!
Thank you Luke Garrett. You're the 🐐 for this
Love this long form content ❤
6:00 for that OLL from that angle you can also do Rw U R' U R' F R F' R U2 Rw'
Yep that one’s pretty nice, I use it for OLLCP but I think I prefer my alg for the normal OLL
With this skill you will probably win heartland champs again. I am looking forward to seeing you there😊😊😊
You have to continue this! 🌟
Congrats on your 5.03 AO5 Luke! (Officially)
Your my favorite cubing channel by far!
3:52 "I kinda just swung around and did a y2 for some reason"
The foreshadowing...
One the first solve on F2L pair 4 I do it the same way and you r the only other person I have met that uses it.(I avrg 9.9) good job 👏
pls more video like this and optionally can you show solutions on white cross? It's very hard for me to follow your f2l and cross solutions(my average is 20)
I might do that next time
The excitement when you said I did a pseudo slotting here😄
Thanks luke for this walkthrough solves i can finally learn something from walkthrough solves
Your solves are the most beatiful solves i ever see and i ❤️ u Luke!!
Thanks man, wise words from my favorite cuber
It will be really great if you can show the solves on a white cross😊
Yes cuz some of us are not colour neutral.(including me lol)
True
@@4klegendaryyt379but you can scramble a certain way so that it works with the white cross as well, just hold the cube a bit differently while scrambing
@@mewtu5817 yeah true
no offense but if y’all aren’t color neutral why r y’all here 😭
Awesome Luke! Hopefully I learn smth

Nah Luke garret so cool he even give us a walk through solve
amazing
really helpful for x cross

Great video man, can you make a vid explaining advanced look ahead on ur solves
Thanks, I don’t really know how to explain my look ahead though as it kinda just developed with a lot of practice
Get this guy too 13k subs
cube collection please
for that oll on the third solve, try S' U2 (Sune) S, or S (Sune) U2 S', both of which I like better than M (Sune) U M'
oh yeah I've seen those before, I'm gonna stick with my alg though
@@LukeGarrettyeah Luke don’t switch. Ur alg is objectively faster cause M move ergonomics. The only reasonable alt is r U R’ U Sledge R U2’ r’
@@Anthony_Jiangwhat does "cause M move ergonomics" mean lmao
@@cookierobber M moves are faster than S moves
@@Anthony_Jiang I don't think that's true
What is your set up with this garette
Well at least there were a couple white/yellow solves in there for those of us who aren’t color neutral lol.
How do you set up your weilong v9?
Compression 5, lubed with only silk, normal tensions, swapped out maglev with springs
@@LukeGarrett can springs Rs3m 2020 work for weilong v9?
Yes
nice luke! quick question, what's your set up? id like to know
W solves W format
Just what we needed!
Much appreciated!
I love your videos so much, you're so motivating, when I am not motivated, I just watch one of your videos and your hands move so fast, it just keeps me motivated, Lol.
How do you setup dual adjustment WeiLong V9?
please more of those videos!!!
How can I improve my cross? cuz Im somehow sub 12-14 with bad cross solutions
how did u set up your wrm v9
Do you set up an xcross/force a free pair on most solves?
I think so yeah
@@LukeGarrett That's crazy haha, are you still able to do it if you aren't CN?
You probably can, I don’t really know cause I’ve always been CN haha
Can you try making white only solves I ain't color neutral
Yeah I'm literally so lost. I have no idea what you did for that green x cross on solve 1. I'm so done with walkthrough solves. I'm too dumb to follow. I'll just do it my own way and improve more slowly.
hey luke, about what percentage of your solves do you do xcross in?
I think around 30%
lets goo derpy style walkthroughs
also for the R U' R' y' U' R' U' R why not do 4th pair not F2L 4
how tight are your tensions on the v9?
Pretty normal, close to out of the box tensions
@@LukeGarrett you are the number 1 cuber in my opinion! Keep making awesome content and breaking records!!! 😀💯💯💢💥💥💣🎖🏆🏆🏅🥇🏆🏆
How do you set up your wrm v9? Thanks for show us a bad solve in makes us feel better😂
Yo Luke! What’s the setup for ur v9?
Yessss!! Thanks!!!
no problem!
How do you remember?
Really nice(informative) video. Can you make one with 2by2? (ao12-25).
Oh yeah I should probably do that
@@LukeGarrett thanks
Hi fellows, Im a sub 15 cuber (more like sub 13) and i need advice on how to practice my lookahead, any help is hugely apreciated🙃
i aspire to be able to turn the cube with your level of precision and speed maybe weilong v9 is the answer?
Maybe haha, keep practicing and learning new things though
whats ur fav event? (if its 3x3 what's second)
Probably 2x2 after 3x3
6:16 why not S sune U2 S’
Any other advise for lookahead 😅❤
I got my lookahead through just spamming solves but that probably won’t work for everyone, so I don’t really have any advice besides just practicing
I need tutorial now how to be sub 5 for xcross
It’s always hard to follow when you’re not color neutral
9:40
Cancel into L’ U’ L d’…?
Ohh it takes the bad edge out
Can you give me tips to be sub 8? I am currently 8.8-9 seconds. (I use cfop)
Nice 👍
Tips how to become sub 9 make a vid please
What’s your lube setup on the yuhu?
I think it was just a lot of mystic
Can you do 2x2 example solves? (with ortega)
No, if I did 2x2 example solves I would use CLL and eg
@@LukeGarrett well im ok with both
U Crazy 🥰 what setting on v9 ?
Compression 5, lubed with only silk, normal tensions, swapped out maglev with springs
@@LukeGarrett ❤️❤️❤️
6:15 you can do S (sune) U2 S'
hey i am that kid from the school thing
nice
How do you have that cube set up? The same as the YS3M?
Yep pretty much, I swapped out the maglev for springs in the WRM V9 though
@@LukeGarrett why would you do such a thing
Is color neutral worth it
It depends, dual neutral is proving to be just as fast as CN, if you only do white I would try to learn yellow though
watched the first solve. said to myself..... "this is wayyyy too advanced for me" Then I left.
super helpful!
Could u write ur V-perm? Seems to be good
It’s in the written reconstruction in the description
@@LukeGarrett thanks)
Thanks
How often do you go for an x cross
Around 30% of solves, these scrambles were super nice for x crosses though
luke is y2 man
wow how
also you should do a live stream
bro that "Garrett" really thinks he's Luke
Nice
Oh no, on solve 4, you missed the sledge into easy zb, then missed the easy oll cp!
yeah I should've sledged there, I usually don't do that OLLCP though because the normal alg is so fast
@@LukeGarrettalthough that specific cp I’d argue the alg and recog is faster than normal diag lol. But fair!
@@LukeGarrett yeah thats definitely true!
Make more video like this pliss,
If you did oll cp on solve 4, you would have gotten a u perm
Hey luke try dis scramble
