  • The Floor Master by Alpine Equipment is the industry's most advanced floor truss assembly machine available. The only labor involved is in loading the lumber and plates, then stacking the finished truss. Safety features include a warning light while gantry is moving, and safety bars that automatically stop the gantry travel when contacted.
    * Manpower is reduced since the Floor Master automatically turns trusses for rolling plates on their second side
    * Crew member are less fatigued after working because of the convenient height of this machine
    * Save on labor costs; trusses can be produced with only three men with this machine
    * Liftout device saves time
    * Speeds production because it plates on opposite sides of two trusses at once
    * Less downtime with a heavy-duty drive chain

    Plant I work at has the table press bar welded together. A few months ago I noticed that the weld holding the two ends together, to make one long bar, had a significant crack in it. Our boss said it's nothing to worry about because all the pressure is going to keep anything from snapping. At the same time our maintenance man said he'll fix it when the weld finally snaps. 🤷 Guess we're just waiting to die at work. It's amazing how this company I'm watching on this video seems to care about their employees comforts, while at my plant our boss wants one person to lift one of those trusses by himself or herself. With expectations of getting 7,000 board foot a day.

    Why are the 2xs set with the larger dimension in the horizontal instead of the much stronger vertical?

    So if the trusses r all the same why isn’t the floor level. Where do strong backs get installed ?

    I wonder how the height stays. As always it looks good on paper as the pencils say but here in the real world it don't always go like the paper says

    Seems like a lot of investment needed to replace labor that needs to be there anyway, to set up each job before the machine sweeps.

    I've alway ran into hydraulic issues with these things. It takes a while to work out the kinks

      @@dareisnogod5711 Well that sounds silly! You didn't mention about the word "always" was misspelled. If you are going to critique someone else you should be accurate and complete.
