  • This tutorial will show you how to crochet an easy baby sun hat / summer hat / floppy hat. This sun hat is a suitable project for beginners.
    For size 0 - 6 months use a 4mm crochet hook
    For size 6 - 12 months use a 4.5mm crochet hook
    For size 12 - 18 months use a 5mm crochet hook
    For size 18 - 24 months use a 5.5mm crochet hook
    For my baby hat I used a 4mm crochet hook and Drops Lima yarn.
    Thank you for watching x

      hello, im a beginner and i have a doubt: at 5th round, im doing dc on every stitch, but it keeps getting like a bowl. How can i fix it?

    • @Angel639
      @Angel639 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@maremary6789 that sometimes happens, it could be the way you are holding it or you could possibly be adding stitches without realising it (which is more common then people think) Keep practicing and I am sure it will turn out beautifully. I sometimes use my kiddos baby dolls to help form the hat. You may be able to do a simple adjustment with your hands to make it start coming down straight into the bucket design.

      @maremary6789 hello! - SO to that I would advise you continue the rows until you finish and trust the process because it's normal for that to usually happen you start the repeating rounds, at first it may seem as though the hat is forming a bowl like shape, but worry not because as you add more rounds it will turn ok.

      At row 5 thru to row 10, it says to continue with each row/52 double crochets, however at row 10 it says I should now have a row of 56 crochets 🤔. Can someone please riddle me where the 'other' 4 stitches materialised from?

    If i were to use worsted weight yarn instead of dk yarn to make the 18-24 month one what hook size would i use?

    • @doreenulrich
      @doreenulrich 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess the smallest one you an manage. I’ve never done it. I’m one to use a slightly larger size hook for many projects so I can get a looser result, but with a hat it’s very different. Wish I could be more help. 😕 Maybe add your question under that video?
