I always enjoy the banter you have with Pete ( and Mark) you define what fishing is all about wether you catch fish or have a blank, it's about having fun, enjoying the environment although a fish or three is always most welcome. Best regards, John.
Pete looked cosy in his jacket. There's something weirdly pleasant about standing around in awful weather waiting for a bite when you're wearing all the right gear. Neoprene wellies, fleece lined bib and brace, fully breathable waterproofs and hands tucked into the fleece pockets. Come on weather, do your worst!
Mate that looked awful. I went last night, and we got soaked. Well done for your efforts and at least you didn't blank. I had hoped the fishing had picked up, but out of about 16 of us last night only 6 or 7 caught. Onwards and upwards👍👍🎣🎣
It is picking up here Dylan but unfortunately my only free evening of the week was a wash out🤦♂️. Hopefully next week I can get back on some rays🤞 I hate getting soaked whilst fishing it's so depressing. Ps. I'm halfway through your vid as usual. I've got to the 1st ray but your release day is always as I'm starting to edit mine, so inconsiderate 🤦♂️😂😂
Am new to your channel and thoroughly enjoying the content. I fished several marks in North Wales, earlier this week. The weather was absolutely horrendous. Really strong winds and lashing rain. Everybody, including the mother in law, said I was mad, to be out fishing ! Even my waterproofs were slowly leaking at the seams. But every mark was empty, an I had some cracking Spotted and Thornbacks rays, plus some decent Pollack an Whiting for the table. One thing that did p*** me off though. Was the rubbish left by previous angler's at a couple of marks. Hooks, line, bait bags etc. It took me 20 mins to clean it all up, before I got a bait in the water, at one mark. Then they wonder, why we get banned from fishing certain marks. Keep up the great content. Tight lines.
Thanks for subbing rye bob👍 the weather has been awful recently but I wouldn't mind getting out if I new there was a chance of something decent but its so hit and miss🤦 Wales definitely hS better fishing than kent😄👍
Blimey brings back memories we used to live at shottenden for 18 years and mum and dad used to take us to seasalter play for hours on the beach. Then when I took up fishing we used to dig our worms down there. Thanks for bringing back memories. Looking forward to seeing more. Regards to the family
Cheers Bob👍 I'm only a mile or so down the hill from shottenden. A couple of years ago when I was running everyday I would run up to shottenden round to selling, old wives leas and then back. Now all I have time for is work and fishing 🤦♂️😂
@@gsp well we lived at denne manor and my parents worked for a farm that grew fruit and hops for 18 years. Not sure if the plough pub is still going and the little village shop. Spent many happy hours playing in Perry woods. The good old days As my dad would have said. Keep up the sterling work
Fished altea harbour yesterday lots of nice stripped bream plus a large barracuda patrolling the harbour, love your banter catching up on your old videos
Crappy session weatherwise, but not a blank. Like the idea of bait elastic with frozen or soft lug bait, gives good presentation and firms the bait up nicely. Keep up the great content.
Great effort, in a paling conditions. As you said in those conditions, a fish is a fish. Shame poor Pete lost that big fish, but its a clever trick to swap it for a limpet shell. Lol Tight lines and keep up the good work. Ray
Well done lads. At least you gave it a go. I think Pete was trying for shell fish only lmao 🤣 apart from putting waders on back to front he looked like a very warm Eskimo 😊😊😊
Hi guys good to see you on the job again, Kent weather being what it is again,At least the wind was at your back I have been fighting against onshore winds here in NZ all summer Tight lines guys ,hope your fishing improves in the Spring
Fished Bartons Point yesterday. Dogs and Whiting on bluey, plaice, bass and whiting on lug. Wheather dry but breezy. Will try the elasticated lug next time.
That session looked horrendous. Driving rain and gale force winds are my idea of hell, especially with the few fish there are around nowadays to catch. Seemed more like an endurance test rather than a fishing session lol. Fair play to you Greg, you and Pete gave it a go. 😂😂
It felt like an endurance test too and we failed 😂😂. I was hoping for a Ray at a new mark which would have made it a little better before my enthusiasm was crushed
Well done lads battling it out in that rain fair play you didn't blank poor old Pete I thought he had something decent your reaction was priceless 😂 exactly what I'm like when I'm out with my pal fishing.. better weather is on its way and then nice big bass be showing soon at sandwich bay my favourite venue
Hi greg n pete, you both ok, at least you saved the blank greg in crap weather conditions. At least you can take da piss out each other to get frew the session. All the best from GRIMSBY.
Once again the ting saves the blank Nice to see Pete using 2 rods ! Thursday was bloody horrible weather down here as well ! The solent was well choppy
Great conditions for a bit of Swale fishing lads… Pete was still enjoying himself by the looks, despite the driving rain. Any day fishing is better than a day in the office, because you never knows what’s passing through during your session.
Unlucky weather conditions defo. You caught a fish which is a bonus you weren't just in the shitty weather for no reason nice venue you should defo go back nicer weather tight lines mate
I’m down there 4,5,6 next week and plan to fish 6 tides. The forecast indicates that the wind direction is all over the place so I’m thinking I’ll have to fish one of the bays between Reculver and Broadstairs which I’ve not fished before. Any recommendations as to which bay I should go to?
If you can fish Reculver then there is a good chance of a thornback ray on a small to medium tide. The other bays going round towards Broadstairs will through up whiting, pouting, bass, eels, dogfish and sometimes fatties. I haven't fished many of them but this year I will put more effort into them
Morning mate, know the feeling last time i fished that location lets just say i was like an otters pocket. Loving the vid, pity about the weather but it is that time of year. Have you ever tried the beach at broadstairs??
That's so funny you mentioned Broadstairs because I was looking at doing a session there very soon. Nobody really fishes it and I'd be interested to see what comes out. Might happen very soon🎣🎣
Fishing either side allows us both space from each other and then you can fish 1 of your 2 rods straight out into the channel and one inclose. Trying to find the fish which could be feeding anywhere
They should be over for me too😂🤦♂️ Its just stupidity but I suppose the first step is admitting I have a problem, now I can work on it😂😂 I'll definitely stay in bed next time
I really don't have anything good. I was given a Sundridge jacket with bib and braces and it's gonna get worn to death. Then I'll have to look into what's on the market🤔
Husband and I were at Sandwich bay yesterday and had a great time. 19 fish between us,10 whiting,5 pouting.3 dogfish and dab. Made up for two blank sessions. shame about the weather for you.
It's depressing too fishing in the wind and rain, especially when my other half is sending me pics of her dinner and a nice warm house🤦♂️😂 next time I might skip a session
Tell me about it🤦 the last 4 months have been extremely testing but that's fishing! Not every session is unicorns and rainbows like some people like to portray
Wow Greg, that was some garbage weather. Don’t you just hate it when all your gear is soaking wet the next day & your box is half full of water & you’ve got to clean it all up?. Pete looks like he’s got the reflexes of a slug on an icicle. Better luck next time.
I always enjoy the banter you have with Pete ( and Mark) you define what fishing is all about wether you catch fish or have a blank, it's about having fun, enjoying the environment although a fish or three is always most welcome. Best regards, John.
A fish or three is a struggle this year but the banter is definitely a main stay🤣

I'm not so sure🤔😂. In really awful weather I think I'm gonna be quite happy to leave the fishing for another day😂😂

Cheers Kevin👍. The bait elastic on worm really does work, it's amazing really how much it transforms it🤔🎣🎣
With that lazy weather your lucky to save the blank. Well done 👍 good one as always mate 🎣👊
Cheers,👍👍 I was happy to save a blank too as it meant I could pack up 😆
Nice to see your not afraid of the weather, gotta be in it to win it!
I wish I was afraid of it! My fear would have kept me warm and dry😂😂

Lmao! 😂 I think Pete was feeling left out of air time so he acted up 😂
Well done lads. At least you gave it a go. I think Pete was trying for shell fish only lmao 🤣 apart from putting waders on back to front he looked like a very warm Eskimo 😊😊😊
I think he was warm AND fishing for shellfish😂😂😂😂 cheers Dave👍

Cheers Lee 👍 I hope it improves too and I think it's starting too as reports are telling me🤞
Well done for sticking it out mate I'd have packed up and gone home 😆
Great video as always mate 👍
I wish I did too🤦♂️😂 it was very depressing 😂
Top marks for giving it a go mate, can beat mates and banter and hopefully next trip you'll catch a ray or three!
Cheers David👍👍 that's what I'm hoping for🤞🤞
Poor old Pete 🎣 looked like he had lost the will to live at one point . Good effort lads 💪
I think that's just how he is when he's fishing with me Nick😂😂
Fished Bartons Point yesterday. Dogs and Whiting on bluey, plaice, bass and whiting on lug. Wheather dry but breezy. Will try the elasticated lug next time.
The elasticated frozen lug works a treat👍👍. Well done on yesterday's session. The weather was good fishing weather
Great video. It's good to see ones in different spots
Thanks Andrew👍 I'm definitely gonna try some new spots this year and different techniques 👍👍
I’ve never thought of tying black lug with elastic… that should make them last a lot longer too!
I definitely does👍👍 it's a revaluation

Yeah I can't wait either! Roll on the bass and roll on the sunshine. Better fishing ahead 🤞🎣🎣
Well done on braving them conditions 👍think I would’ve packed up lol 😂 tight lines 👍
Eventually we did but I think it was 2 hrs too late😂😂🤦♂️

Cheers Carl👍 unfortunately 90% of the banter cannot be broadcast as we really do rip into each other😂. I don't know how we're still friends😂😂
End of may that would be a lovely bass spot just like the other Swale location you goto.
Yeah I think it really would be and I will definitely be coming back
Once again the ting saves the blank Nice to see Pete using 2 rods !
Thursday was bloody horrible weather down here as well ! The solent was well choppy
😂😂 I think Pete wished he'd left them both at home😂😂
@@gsp Greg you have to be in it to win it! And it has been a while since Pete had a decent tug on his wire!

That's, what I kept telling myself until the will to live had depleted 😩😂
Camera quality and video edit was perfect mate
Cheers mate👍👍👍 appreciate it alot
Good effort as usual Greg. Looks a nice mark hope it’s easier to get to than the Swale mark you go Ray hunting at 😊
It's alot easier to get too and no 4ft deep pot holes to over come🤦♂️😂
Nearly lost my LWB van in those potholes 😂
That looked a tough session mate 😮 summers just around the corner , apparently 😂
It cannot come any quicker! It was awful Kev it really was🌧️🌪️
Well done for getting out and a fish is a fish 👏👏👏
I'll definitely take it in those conditions 👍👍
Great video as always 👍
Thanks Richard 👍👍
Nice video mate as always 👍
Cheers J👍👍
time for beech tent m8t, warden bay was just as bad lasted a hour or so called it a day after crack off, wind was blowing hard driving rain
I very rarely take my shelter as I don't have time to set it all up with fishing and filming. Next time it rains I might just stay indoors😂🤦♂️
Cor Blimy! I bet you wished you were back on Futurventura🥴👍!
Don't 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. What I would give to be there atm🤔
Unlucky weather conditions defo. You caught a fish which is a bonus you weren't just in the shitty weather for no reason nice venue you should defo go back nicer weather tight lines mate
I think I will definitely go back in the summer one evening to see if the bass are about👍🎣🎣🎣
Fair play!!! I would have stayed indoors 😂😂
Next time I will!😂😂😂

What tip lights is Pete using do they change colour when there is action on the rod tip
They're rig shark tip lights. They go off with any movement 👍 any movement at all🤔😂
Not worth investing then 😂
@@hunters2375 I have them and they do my head in!
I bet they do never get a nice flat water and no wind on the north Kent coast haha
