There is a nursing course called conversion course those who already finished Bsc nursing Sri Lanka+ ielts 7 each = 1 year leads to Aphra registration. And we can join for MSc nursing those who already completed Bsc nursing. And this also leads to Aphra.
you can , To apply for a work visa you should have a job offer from an Australian employer, no body offer you a nursing job if you are not registered as a nurse in Australia, so first thing register as a nurse in Sri Lanka then apply for registration in Australia with your Sri Lankan nursing degree. this is bit complicated and time consuming but possible. Communicate directly with relevant governing bodies in Australia (AHPRA, NMBA) my advice is don't go through agents at this stage. once you submit all the required documents they will thoroughly assess it and give their decision . According to my experience , most probably they might ask you to undergo a period of supervised practice under a RN in Australia. Remember that you have to find a place yourself for this, and this is the hardest part of the process. Google and search for such places or find an agent could be trusted. Good luck! If you want to do MSc in nursing apply directly to the preferred university. Under national law, all students undertaking clinical training in a health profession must be registered with AHPRA from the first year of their program, registration undertaken by the university on the student's behalf.. I don't understand why this guy say " you can't" i think he need to do bit more homework..........

Therefore , you do not need an Australian nursing degree for AHPRA registration. only thing you must prove to them that you have suitably trained and qualified. There are thousands of foreign qualified nurses including Sri Lankan nurses working as RNs in Australia without so called Australian degrees. Please don't misguide people.

She needs to complete Australian Nursing bachelors to get RN registration. You better contact IDP Sri Lanka and enquire about the available options for her from Sri Lankan end.

Therefore , you do not need an Australian nursing degree for AHPRA registration. only thing you must prove to them that you have suitably trained and qualified. There are thousands of foreign qualified nurses including Sri Lankan nurses working as RNs in Australia without so called Australian degrees. Please don't misguide people.
