I think he's talking to Addie in the intro...the songs for her anyway. But 18 years ago, that's when he met her. He's really talking to her, it's so adorable!
its sad because at any concert its like you don't wanna leave for green day I never wanna leave but its sad and awesome because you had the time of your life
God.. His voice is so beautiful, with each person listening and each person singing back and having a different feeling with each song. That must be the most greatest feeling in the world, Green Day is and will always be my favorite band.. :,)
When It's Time is such a damn beautiful song.. I really haven't listened to this song as much as I should of.. It reminds me of so much.. Like my relationship, my family, the people I care about.. This is why I love this band all their songs are so awesome. Green Day is and always will be my favorite band.
Unfortunately I've broken up with my girl friend now but I still love this song and it's very underrated. Hope to see Green Day live when the new album drops this year (hopefully the album is this year) still my most favorite band of all time.
I hope you've got to see them since ! I have this year, and I've never felt so happy. They also seemed happier than ever. Like you, Green Day is and will forever be my favorite band. Billie keeps saying the things I want to hear.
Claudia Albani Lol sorry about the late reply but I did get a chance to see them live twice actually. I saw them the first time in Duluth, Georgia then a second time in Raleigh, North Carolina. Both times were fantastic shows and I enjoyed both so much. I love Green Day so much, I’ve been listening to them since I was about 5 years old and I’m 21 now. I have such strong connections to so many of their songs and their new album Revolution Radio is probably my favorite album since American Idiot. But of course American Idiot is the better album, I agree with you Billie has such a way of writing songs that can really connect to people.
Since you were 5, wow! I'll be 22 soon, and it's been only a bit more than a year for me; I became a die hard fan within an hour, pretty much. I've seen them twice in France and in Hyde Park. My favorite was the second one, Download festival in France, even though it was the less mediatized. Revolution Radio is my favorite album, it is also my first, not only do I relate to it so hard, but in a way that gets me moving more than any other. The trilogy has some of that too. Well, I love 21st CB and American idiot so much, probably right behind RevRad. Such amazing albums. When It's Time in one of those songs, I didn't discover it as soon as most of the albums, because it's off-album, but when I fell onto it, it took my breath away and made me cry restlessly, although I couldn't help but listen to it again and again. It's one of those songs that makes you want to open your heart and look towards the brightness in life. I've started learning to play guitar and would like to play this song to the man I love. It's kind of an impossible and probably one-way love, but the song is exactly what I feel. If I don't tell him now, how do I know there will be more reason to do it in 10 years by now? Just tell me when it's time...
Claudia Albani Yep! The first song I heard by Green Day was Good Riddance (Time of Your Life). That song was so meaningful to me bc of the sound of the acoustic guitar play from Billie and the lyrical content coming from Billie. From there I moved onto American Idiot and that was the album that got me really into Green Day. From the strong story from the album to the various part to part song play that the album gives off. But after that I moved onto their albums before American Idiot such as Warning, Nimrod, Insomniac and Dookie those albums were so great as well. I can easily say that my second favorite album from Green Day is Dookie. Then from there I just moved up from Dookie to Insomniac, to Nimrod (my third favorite Green Day album) then to Warning and Shenanigans. After that I listened to Green Day’s first two albums 1039 and Kerplunk. Then I listened to 21st Century Breakdown and the Trilogy. I love all of Green Day’s albums and I really can’t say a single song that I don’t like from them (except for possibly Nightlife from ¡Dos!) but that’s about it. Green Day will always be my favorite band. But I definitely see what you’re getting at, it can be very difficult to tell someone the way you feel about them. But when the time is right you will know :)
Love u so much billie my son got me hooked on u in 1998 when he was 16 he lost his thumb in landscape accident and stopped playing your music it was the end of his band ..he was just like u...i will never forget him following ur music..he will always be my hero as u ..from a 60 mom of two boys like u
When it’s Time always brings me back to a past relationship that I had going strong for a little over 6 months. It was my first (and only) ever relationship I’ve ever had and it was very special to me. I met her on PlayStation 3 and we lived 2,000 miles apart, I always wanted to meet her but I didn’t have my drivers license or a car at the time to travel all the way out there to see her. It was going great until the day she texted me telling me that we needed to part ways. It was one of the most emotional moments in my life. It was one of the hardest times I’ve ever cried in my life. We parted ways about 4 years ago and I still can’t get over it to this day, especially because it was my only relationship in my life.. It’s a really hard bullet to swallow each time I think about it. But as the final line of the last song of the American Idiot album goes, “and in the darkest nights, if my memory serves me right, I’ll never turn back time, forgetting you but not the time”.
I met her one night, it was cold. She lend me her muffler, she was very kind and nice. 8 thought I would see her again where we met, I waited for her every night. I cry sometimes when I go back to where we met. It was 2022 December 15.
I love the feeling when Mike, Tré and the Jasons join Billie on stage during Wake Me Up When September Ends. Kinda feels like they enter the stage to back up Billie during a sad song.
there are no words that can explain how amazing beautiful and talented Green Day is...cange peoples lives, save peoples lives, teach people how to live, and much more...we are forever greatful!
this is finally the best video ive ever seen in my life, i wanna hear this songs while i tatoo myself "green day" green day is my life, my life is green day...
The first 2 minutes of this video made me audibly say aww multiple times. I like how the audience sang "I love you" and he said "I love you too". I want to cry now holy shit.
I love how whenever they play they always prove that they're playing live by adding in little things, and even if you don't, they never sound exactly like the album, although they get pretty damn close every time.
Man...I really wish I could have gone to this show...I was kinda short on funds so i couldn't get a ticket...I really hope they come back to jersey or new york soon..I'd really love to see them again the last time I saw them live was when I was 10 yrs old..I am now 20 haha
i just want to thank the person who posted this, three Green Day songs that make me ball my eyes out, and all of them played acoustic... amazing... truly

I would cry if I ever could see him in real-life
@@barrowthebrownsame!
I think he's talking to Addie in the intro...the songs for her anyway. But 18 years ago, that's when he met her. He's really talking to her, it's so adorable!

its sad because at any concert its like you don't wanna leave for green day I never wanna leave but its sad and awesome because you had the time of your life
Billie Joe is singing using the heart
true
God.. His voice is so beautiful, with each person listening and each person singing back and having a different feeling with each song. That must be the most greatest feeling in the world, Green Day is and will always be my favorite band.. :,)
Most Green Day music is emotional, just 90% of it is covered under an awesome Guitar, bass, and drum mixture.
8:30 It is soooo good !!!
I think I just lost a piece of my heart.
When It's Time is such a damn beautiful song.. I really haven't listened to this song as much as I should of.. It reminds me of so much.. Like my relationship, my family, the people I care about.. I love the feeling when Mike, Tré and the Jasons join Billie on stage during Wake Me Up When September Ends. Kinda feels like they enter the stage to back up Billie during a sad song.
