- Iran will hold an early presidential election on Friday - to choose a successor to Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash last month.
Dozens of candidates submitted applications, but the Guardian Council - a 12-member vetting body - approved only six.
Two conservative candidates and a reformist are front-runners.
Al Jazeera’s Resul Serdar reports from Tehran.

A President only as limited power but Presidents can make changes to the laws of the country and they do have some power , so elections do make a difference
I'm a anarchist so I won't vote , I don't believe in elections but that reformer guy is probably the bet candidate , its going to be a close race , elections are always heated and fiery so its going to be a close race but I hope Pezeshkian wins the elections , he needs to make radical changes and make a clear plan on where he plans to take the country and how he plans and he needs to focus on creating jobs and bringing down the cost of education and improving relations with NATO in the long term , he has said that he is willing to consider the possibility of improved relations if sanctions are removed which is a good step I think

Good relations between NATO and the Middle Eat are important but its also important to remove the sanctions on that country , the 2015 deal that removed many of the sanctions was a good deal , I don't know why it was scraped
