  • Todays’s video begins with the sombre remembrance of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the ultimate sacrifice paid by so many brave souls in the name of freedom. Morning coffee brings good news for my Peak District cottage garden, and then I get moved to tears when an unexpected delivery of a stunning bouquet of flowers arrives, along with chocolate and a lovely note urging me to keep my chin up! It was National Fish & Chip Day, so I was planning a chippy lunch from the amazing Toll Bar Fish & Chips in nearby Stoney Middleton, but the Vengeful Gods of the Overdraft sent a text message suggesting that I was too poor for such luxuries! So I improvised with what I had in the pantry and made chicken and chips at home.
The evening brought work of course, and a quiet night at the restaurant meant that I could catch up on film with Samrat who is back with us after being away back in Nepal for a month following his father’s sad passing, and my head chef Ram brought us up to date with his garden and has a special message of congratulations for Neil and Sophie. The day ends with a (moderately) high speed late night thrash home through tiny Peak District National Park lanes in a Rover 45 CVT Stepspeed.
As many of you know, the channel has been (hopefully temporarily) demonetised until at least August 27th. If you would be willing to help keep things going in the interim please follow this link: www.paypal.com...
