My mom passed 8 years ago from an accidental od. She had a horribly traumatic childhood that led to alcoholism and every addiction in between. However my mother was still loved bcz she never stole from anybody and like you @Villain She was always honest even when it made her look even worse She was loving and had a wonderful heart and would give you the shirt off her back even if she only owned two. She had really bad dementia that caused her accident hence took meds forgot and took them again. I completely respect your honesty about yourself. My mother at one time was a full functioning alcoholic before drugs and never lost custody of us and still took care of other people and their kids like you Margaret. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
The last 10 years of her life She was clean and only on prescription medication and under two dr’s care and all for mental illness but 10 years is still 10 years. She got to finally live on her own as well for the first time in her life without a boyfriend or husband that brutally abused her. She would absolutely never put grandkids at risk of anything so I didn’t hide my kids from her and let her have the chance to be the grandmother bcz she felt like it was her redemption for her mistakes as a mom and she was a beloved grandmother to both of her daughters children and trustworthy
