I've been a huge fan of producers since I was young. Back then I was into a lot of Hip hop producers like Madlib and Jay Dilla and It transitioned to Nujabes and Indie producers and then my tastes in music became kind of stale as nothing really appealed to me mainly cos I started to hate music with lyrics and instrumentals just weren't cutting it. Eventually I happened onto vocaloid/japanese music where I find that the vocals just accompany the instrumental so well - because - I can't understand it. In terms of Kikuo's style I'm really amazed at how lively it is in contrast to the dark lyrics. Kikuo has really raised the bar for my music standards. Everyday I'm becoming more inclined to vocaloid/vocastep etc music and I'm looking forward to new stuff! If anyone has any recommendations pls send them my way =)
Amazing producers you should check out if you like vocastep/edm vocaloid stuff: Rin Ginsuke --- also does non-vocaloid stuff, very awesome (he has many names tbh, like Ocelot ) ***** ---very trippy/hypnotizing music, does non-vocaloid stuff as well Not sure about other producers, try AVTechNO , he does great stuff too : )
There is something about seeing Kikuo's face that feels so forbidden yet... comforting. With all his most fucked up songs, with deep gut wrenching stories and lyrics, behind them isn't a weirdo, a freak, or a creep, just... a guy. A guy with a talent, and a story to tell. ❤
What's wrong with songs talking about dark themes or being straight up horror? It's fiction. It's a good song, everybody can tell. Why not just leave it alone and enjoy?
