Hi! Thank you. On my gap year I got a job for most of it and did college applications. My advice would be to focus on any personal growth projects like learning a language, art, coding etc

When asked about my gap year, I wrote about having taking utme (jamb) thrice, started a math tutorial for kids to help me pay for the exam, my GPA over 100 is 81.9/100. Do you think the gap year stuff will affect me? I'm applying to Harvard too. I got a 1470 on the Sat Maths:780 EBRW: 690
The gap year stuff is mainly so that they know you did something impactful with that time you took off- which sounds like you did. Your stats are great, work on essays, ec's etc and go ahead! All the best!

I do think it puts you in a different category of student. as for the arrested part you would probably need to disclose that. do more research on that though and if possible reach out to the schools and explain your situation
