I've driven past Huntingtower a few times and thought it was closed/in disrepair so I've never visited it. In a couple of weeks I'm "back" in Glenlyon from the Antipodes and armed with your useful info I'll have a look. (PS It might be haunted, a wraith kept making furtive appearances..)
It's definitely open to visit but may be just seasonal. Quite a few of these places are only open over the summer. Well worth a stop next time you're passing though.

It is near to the motorway on the outside of Perth by 5 miles post code PH1 3JL so you can find it easier at A9 AND A85 junction there is a travelodge in walking distance for those wishing to stay in area.
the site is part of historical scotland and is used a lot for weddings due to its location
So good to see you this morning (2:30 on this side of the pond! It was also nice to hear the story of the daughter and her mother, perhaps a lesson for parents snooping on their children. Great to have you back.
