  • Running my first ever marathon, with zero prior experience, completely changed my life. I trained for about two years to prepare for the race, learning how to run at a novice level. The lessons I learned from running the race taught me how to solve my biggest problems. This video will include tips on how to run your first marathon at a beginner level and what you can expect to learn from the experience including the marathon mindset that will help you achieve your goals and dreams.

Hey Jane - thank you for sharing your story and experience as a marathoner. I'm currently training for my first marathon this October. I'm in week 12 of 30 of Hal Higdon's Novice Supreme Program. So much of what you said hit home for me on this journey!!

Can totally relate to hating running and taking it up later in life in my 40s. Never thought I could run 1 mile either so it was a huge challenge to run my first 5K without stopping and accepting that training plans like couch to 5K aren’t built for everyone. You have to listen to your body too. I still don’t enjoy running and view it as a necessary evil for baseline fitness but it feels so great to breakdown limitations we think we have. Mind over matter 😃. Congrats on such a huge accomplishment!!

That is amazing! It is incredible what we all can do beyond what we think. Your story is such an inspiration. Very cool to hear you are still running. Cheers.
