It comes in waves, really hit me, today I was walking my dog and a lady was sitting in a disability scooter crying, I stopped and asked if she was ok, if I could do anything to help her, she said she was ok, she told me her 22 year old son had died last August and it just keeps hitting her in waves 😢 I didn't know what to say, I just held her hand until she said she was strong enough to go, she thanked me for stopping and left, Life can be so unfair x

I listened to the song as soon as it dropped and didn't know the backstory yet, and it still hit me hard because I had to say goodbye to my 16 year old dog recently, and even though this song was clearly about a person, it was still very much about grief and it's like... I love the song but I think it'll be a while before I can listen to it regularly

Listening to this song, relaxes me, but makes me remember my uncle whom I and my family miss....and I felt a wreck when he died, and even though the 2nd year approaches, it feels like forever. this visual video I also like cause of the story it tells of loss and at first didnt realize which girl it was at the start of the song.

I had also heard what this song was about & it’s interesting that you said you felt like the ending might have been reversed as to who’s perspective it was coming from bc I felt that too. I’m a cancer survivor and the fact that you can hear the anger and frustration through the sadness really hit home for me. I feel like I understood it from his pov but that, as you mentioned the end felt reversed almost & I could definitely relate to that, hearing the anger is something I struggled with for a very long time. I was so mad, I was mad at everyone & everything and “wrecked” is the perfect word to use for that feeling. I’m happy to say that I’m in full remission now and living my best life bc how many people can say they got a second chance at life but at the same time, this song almost makes me feel guilty bc I lived and she didn’t and I think about all the family and friends I’ve lost from this vile disease and like I said, it just makes me sad and angry all over again that they didn’t make it but I did. I don’t even know if that makes sense but the song is very bittersweet, angry, sadness from my perspective. I think it’s brilliant, what you said about it making you miss someone you’ve never met. Again, just from my perspective, that’s how I feel also. I enjoyed the reaction and everything you said. Thanks for doing this, I appreciate you breaking down a song like this despite the heaviness of it.✌🏼
