My favorite part of "E= mc^2" is how the colorguard illustrates relativity at the end of the show by passing one member through a wormhole while the rest of the guard tries to get there at relativistic speeds, but die before they can reach the same point on the field as that member exited
Thing about this horn program that is so magical is that they play all those notes and then the ensemble balance and intonation every time they hit a chord is insane. I wish it was a little less run-around-and-play-scales-now-stop-and-play-loud. But goddamn are they good at what they do. To have that much gas left in the last 60 seconds is out of this world. The final chord sounds like an organ. Bravo.
This closer and Tilts' closer will always be my favorite. The power from Crown is just incredible. I was gonna riot if they didn't win that year. Literally. Truly. I would have freaked out. The show was fantastic all summer long.
Back to this 7 years later to say this is still the best brass book of all time and if the battery book was a little better and cleaner (biased as a percussionist) it would be the greatest thing ever put on a field in the activity. Been barely in the DCI loop for the last 2-3 years and this show is one of maybe 3 that still pop into my head from time to time.
Honestly what’s so impressive to me isn’t just the technical clarity and the skill by every single member of the hornline, but it’s also the incredible amount of clarity in the articulations. They are all so clear and perfect in execution to where you know exactly what is written on the sheet music. Those accents make me so happy to hear, it’s truly incredible.
I've listened to this piece more than 200 times on my computer and ipod, I've watched it live twice and on video around 15 times, and EVERY TIME I WATCH IT I always tear up. THAT is the sign of an absolutely outstanding corps that has a show that will go down in the books FOREVER
+Joe Bagelz A number of works, but conceptually on "Einstein on the Beach" by Philip Glass. You can find the repertoires of all DCI shows at www.corpreps.com
Aww. Drill Writer should have made those step sizes smaller for the people backing up @1:04. Kinda unrealistic for them to do that and mess up the shape.

I love how you can see the brass judge smile and turn around on the 50 yard line to see the crowds reaction to Crowns push forward at 1:42
That's Albert Lo, he did that at the end of Phantom '07 and it was the sweetest thing haha

I cry every time I hear that. It is spectacular. Probably the best mello lick ever.
It's definitely next to godliness.

That lick has been in their shows ever since.
I do believe they're wizards... how the junk do they make 3D shapes?! 1:05 is freaking crazy!!!!
This is my favorite show of all time. I got to see it live and the power was ridiculous!!!
Isaac Mefford :D it makes me feel like a super nerd but the tone and emotion of their brass section brought me to tears. It's my favorite too.
The dude who wrote their drill also wrote for my high school. He’s insanely talented. Ron Hardin is his name. One of the best visual designers ever.
That final resolution on the crown set is the best thing
God I love this show
Got to see this show in Allentown and it was a life changing experience
Smiles amongst most of the crowd at the standing ovation sum it up. And deservingly so.
One of the last great shows from the Golden Era of DCI.
Can’t believe I saw this live at finals, still get goosebumps watching this

Stephen Sharp that mello is is the best mello lick ever.
Also done in 2012. It popped out to me the first time I heard this show. Balanced wall of perfection all around it as well with the other parts.
What piece is this based on?

What is the music for this Closer called?
Also sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss
I can reach Carolina and that does pop up a lot so I sense it makes you happiest and cost of living and nutty people elsewhere no way
Caught Einstein on the beach for a second
2:33 is that Cristiano Ronaldo?
I'm almost positive this recording is sped up.
POV: you’re here from TikTok
