I would like G3x but did G5’s and GI275’s and a 355 GPS/COM. I have a JPI 830 Flight Engineers panel. My Arrow lost 38 pounds of stuff but I still have an inop Piper Auto Control 3, so an autopilot is on my list but it has been suggested there are too many issues with those offered right now so hand flying for now. I also only spent $30,000 installed with an annual.
We too! Was a bit difficult to bring the Cirrus Maintenance Center in Groningen to the point they accepted our colour scheme, this because Cirrus does not allow old airplanes to be painted in the colours/paint schemes of the newer generations. Anyway: we are super-happy with it!
Bro! For what you have into this aircraft you could’ve bought a G5 with the Garmin perspective and the higher useful load. You just threw away about 120k
Though I like the touch g500txi. That install should have not cost 200k. You are right it would have been more cost effective to go with a g5 or even g6 for that amount.
@drhungerford: a) if you bring me a G5 for 360‘000 USD I‘ll take it right away. But most probably you are far away from present markets: a good G5 is priced above 600‘000 USD. b) with a G5 or even a G6 you have more than 20 years old avionics. The G1000 (or call it Perspective Plus) is old architecture, not intuitive and last generation. To be up to date you have to buy a G7, but then we talk about 1,2 Million USD.
We have been the first airplane painted at General Enterprises, Groningen/NL. They did an excellent job, fair price and completed exactly as agreed before.
Very interesting video! What about the cost of the material vs labor cost? And what is the end weighing result? Lost some weight :) Thanks for your videos!
Lost a few kilos, but one digit. Cost of the (Garmin) material was 117‘400 USD, then 58‘000 CHF for the avionic shop and about 25‘000 CHF for our maintenance shop, creating the new panel, integrating the go-around button into the throttle-lever etc. But its the worth, until the G7 came to market it was the better airplane than a brand new G6.
man i saw that PFD lose attitude reference on landing 😂
Hello great video. How long did this modification take? Thanks

Love the color of this SR22!

Why did the PFD ❌ on landing?
AHRS alignment issue detected. Test test test. Rarely do these systems just plug and play nicely during install.

Where was your aircraft re-sprayed?

Great and interesting video about craftsmanship 👍🏻💐
Thank you! Cheers!

That install isn't worth what you paid.
