It's 2023 and I just got myself a Corrado vr6 last week.
Needs work, including a full respray but she will get there .
Already in love with the way she looks and still nowhere near a finished car. Nice video 🙏🏼
Those rims looks amazing on the Corrado, especially because the original Speedline looks similar but smaller.
I still got mine, had it for nearly 18yrs, that's how much I love it, my one is almost standard and has been really reliable, which is rare.
Do you daily it? I’ve been looking at one recently but I’m worried about it’s long term keep up.
I had one of these back in the day and absolutely loved it. If the numbers come up, one of these will be my restomod project.

@@donaldduck3843 Loads cheap in the UK at the moment and as lockdown restrictions start to lift I'd suggest getting your hands on one! 😁
@@bluey0695 if they are cheap they most likely won’t be good and if they are selling cheap Iam sure they will needing some attention and the parts are rare and expensive.

I have 1 (92 VR6) & it's a total attention getter and absolute rare sports car to have / drive. less than 98,000 made over the entire production of the car & puts a smile on m face every time I start it up.
Lovely Corrado, I bought my first vr6 golf in June 2000 and have been driving vr6 golfs ever since. I prefer the Corrado but never found one when I looked, slightly better driving car too in my opinion as a vr6 golf driver, think the engine may be better positioned because they defo handle better than the golfs

Corrado's are crazy fun to drive. Definitely go for the VR6. I wish I hadn't sold mine. I only paid £500 for it 5 years ago. The person who sold it to me didn't know what it was worth, it was immaculate.
I’ve owned 9 of these now in all engine specs except 2.0 8v...really great cars and always get great reception. All I can say though is why if this guys car is getting filmed it’s not immaculate on the inside?? It would be my first job if anyone is getting in for a spin!
you're talking about the steering wheel that you don't like
that's one of the rare things in the car
and in the end they would put your other exhaust under it
if you do that with a vr6 it will be at the expense of the sound
that mistake is often made vr6 you should not hear the exhaust in relation to that engine
so you would make a badass corrado out of it .
Very clean Corrado for sure! All you need is an Audi S2 steering wheel in it to replace that Batman and Robin looking steering wheel and she will be complete!

Love the 17 inch speedlines.. Look pretty much like the oem wheels, just 2 sizes bigger.

Didnt like the steering wheel in mine either. Replaced it with a nice Personal steeringwheel. Just a tad smaller, feels much better imo.
I'm kinda jealous about the headroom you've got. I'm nearly stuck to the roof in mine.

You said you can compare it to the R32, would they share the same engine? Or how come you compared it to the VR6?
I've owned several VW's with this engine:
Golf mk3 VR6 Highline - 2.8L VR6 with 12 valves (when almost new).
Golf mk4 VR6 4Motion - 2.8L VR6 with 24 valves (owned from when it was 6 months old).
Corrado VR6 - 2.9L VR6 with 12 valves (bought in 2011 to scratch an itch - and wow did it do that).
I haven't owned an R32 but they are 3.2L VR6 with 24 valves so the cream of the crop. Of the three VR6 I've owned, the Golf mk4 VR6 4Motion was the best overall car. It was so easy to live with and had tremendous torque. The 4WD Haldex is great at getting the power down on the road too. I do miss that car. But it's "just" a Golf. I owned it for about 7 years. But I've owned the Corrado VR6 for 9 years now and still own it. It's now the longest car I've ever owned. Even though I don't use it I still can't bring myself to sell it quite yet. It has so much character and it's the only car I've owned where people have crossed the street or car park to come and talk to me about it. It's also the only car I've owned which is worth more money now than when I bought it. The handling is fantastic and it's so light compared to modern cars, that the big engine really does make it feel genuinely quick. Ironically it was criticised when it was new for being bloated compared to the Golf Mk2 (had one of those too - a GTI 16v). But nowadays it's a tiny car with incredible handling and a whopping great V6 engine. Finding a good one is becoming hard now though.

60mm lowering will make the car crash through all the road imperfections and ruin the handling. Best VW in terms of looks and Handling!

@@kazer92cf lol yeah I agree my dad had a red Corrado VR6 last summer and it was impossible to see out the window because the seat is sooooo far down😂
