The Republican Party pioneered the right of women to vote and was consistent in its support throughout the long campaign for acceptance. It was the first major party to advocate equal rights for women and the principle of equal pay for equal work.
But we all know the story of the early Republicans. Geographically they are today's Democrats. It has usually been the liberals who have fought for minority rights. The conservatives have always been about preserving power within the dominant camp.
@@daithiocinnsealach1982 That is not the story. That is a Democratic lie. Have you heard "The South Shall Rise Again"? Many, not all, but many democratic policies are about the government being in charge of us. This has helped to keep the poor away from opportunity and keep them in the ghetto. You can see it happen in all the heavily run democratic cities. If people don't have an opportunity they cannot help themselves or get out of poverty. If they become reliant on the government, it hurts their chances of improving their lives. Republicans believe in freedom to choose and make something of yourself. The only change that has occurred is that Democrats are now turning to socialism and communism. They have strayed far from JFK who said "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. AND MLK "Judge a person by their character, not by the color of their skin" Neither JFK or MLK would recognize the Democratic party now. This is the reason why I switched. I read history and saw that people were not getting better. I volunteer at soup kitchens and inner-city programs and can see first hand how many democratic policies make poor people believe they can't do any better and need to rely on the government for help. Once they understand they can and are capable of rising above and are in charge of their own destinies, then they can improve their lives.
Susan Anthony was a *Suffergist*, not a Suffergette. Being called a *Sufferg ette* is contrary to her message. We owe her a lot, so please get the term correct. Thanks.
No, it is not. She,and all of the other *women* who worked for the rights of Blacks and of women were Suffragists. Would you call a man a suffragette?...I think not. Putting an 'ette' on the end diminishing. The were proud and strong women, and they did not consider themselves "...ettes". Amazonette, would that be the term for a male Amazon Warrior. Thanks.
I've never voted in my life. I'm a white middle aged male. But I'd guess America is probably a better place for women and blacks now then it was then. Maybe not. Actually really hard to say. At least for women. Definitely a better place for blacks. Then again, some blacks still have a horrible time of it being born into ghettos. But so do some whites. But on a technological scale things are better. People live longer, healthier lives with more convenience and entertainment than ever before. Nut they are still miserable. This is the human condition I believe. Never satisfied. That lack of satisfaction creates modern technology but also wars and family abuse. There is no solution so many hope in delusions whether political or religious.
Women Voted for Hillary and and Biden and Bush and anyone they think is popular and attractive without much thought about the person's morals or plans to make the country better. yea it was a mistake.

Susan B Anthony was a brave women to go up against males to vote... Its sad that it took til 1919 to pass the vote...Even though I do believe that women could vote in wyoming and colorado and utah territory ..I am positive it was wyoming territory first..
Love Jihad & Women's Rights Are people who are fighting against Love Jihaad advocating only a certain people should marry only certain people? No. Any person is free to marry whoever HE/SHE is willing to marry. It's a free World. But the problem here is, A Muslim girl marrying a Hindu boy, or a Muslim boy marrying a Hindu girl - The law system in India is such that Muslims are given an exception to enjoy the personal laws & these personal laws are in so many respects are Anti Hindu, they have not had the kind of reforms took place in so far as that of Hindu laws are concerned. This puts all the Non - Muslim women who choose to marry a Muslim - boy at a disadvantage. So Non Muslim girl if chooses to marry whether out of intention/fraudulence, A Muslim boy, she will loose the right to, (i) Property, the way she would had enjoyed if she were not married a Muslim boy, (ii) She will loose right to divorce, (iii) She will loose right to Inheritance, Succession etc. in ways she would enjoy if she has not married a Muslim boy.....-.
Women can't be superheros.... Why do no one put heroine?! At that let's get rid of man and woman saying to and just say man for both. Pretty much what your doing, so she is a male superhero?! Or is she a female... Superheroine is what you should redo the title.

Coolest
she is not a woman more like a man
“It is a law of nature that women should be held under the dominance of man.” - Confucius (ca. 500 BC
Only simpletons think that way. Women owe men nothing.
+Emma Frost women don't owe men anything they just need to be under the rule of a man.
John Doe No they don't. They can decide what they want to do with their life aslong they harm nobody.
+Emma Frost well a lot of feminists have a problem with that last part. You know the harming people part.
*a*./ Don't mind him. Only immature boys think that way.
You did not search for this. Thank youtube algorithms and Trump for this. Be well youtuber:)
