Thank you for the video! Question: PoW and PoS are both simply "a way of deciding who writes the new block". But how exactly does blockchain verify that the new block itself is a genuine block (as opposed to a fake/bogus/bad block)? This question is different from "who writes the new block?" because there may be many ways to decide which node writes a new block, i.e. the node may be "elected", or "appointed", or "randomly chosen", or "delegated by God"; the REAL important question is: how does the writer-node verify that the new block is GENUINE data?
Trust in the node as it is spending computation power on resolve the puzzle (math problem). How are the other nodes verify that, do they agree that the node solve the puzzle out honestly ?
What exactly do you mean by a 'malicious' node (3:13)? What does a 'malicious' node do? Maybe it's just me, but why would you not invest if you are malicious? I'd love to hear an answer!
malicious node means if you are a hacker or some kind of bad person, it can disturb the whole transaction system, and if you are a malicious node you won't be putting your money into it because if you are stealing or destroying the property you won't put money for the repair you are there just to attack the system. from what I have understood
@@Willssucceed the allocation of node as a validator is done in such a way that the stake he holds are always greater than the transaction fee that he might achieve. So if he he attempts to add a fraudulent block in the blockchain, he will lose his stake, which ofcourse are much higher than the reward he could have earned.
@@architsharma7958 what if staking amount is way less than than the transactions done on the blockchain then it will be a win situation for the hackers...staking less and stealing lot

In the bid to ensure fairness and decentralized control of block nodes for better service for our users, CWVBLOCKCHAIN makes use of the Random Verification Method (VRF) to achieve this and to provide a stable Consensus algorithm in CWVBLOCKCHAIN .
Thanks a lot, I am from a non-technical background. Understood the concepts. Thank you. Just my thoughts, proof of Stake is like capitalism where the one who invests, takes higher risk will be rewarded. Proof of work is more like ancient age-old donkey work.
Do You face challenges of speed using a blockchain? CWVBLOCKCHAIN is out of that category, because of its upgraded Consensus mechanism which has aided CWVBLOCKCHAIN operating speed in different blocks.
Sir I have developed a java Web app in Eclipse by watching your videos on servlet & MySQL. Please make a video on how can I visit this app on my mobile phone(I mean by IP address)
Your all videos are amazing and for not IT professional like me, I get a lot out of it. One question bothers me so please help me understand in bits and pieces. Suppose theere is an equation has to be verified and to be added to new block how it is done. For example 2+2=4 is the equation. Does miners first solve that the 4 is the correct answer and then solves hash puzzle and whoever does it fast wins the chance to add new block and what if he doesn't care about 2+2=4 or not and just solves the hash puzzle and gets rewarded.
As we always say only one gets the reward and rest doesn't the what happens to other miners who dint win.. Do they really care if the block made/added is correct or not
those nodes will not able able to mint (add) the block to blockchain. for every PoS blockchain there is minimum limit of stake that you should have on every node.
One of the best videos I've seen to explain consensus algorithms!
Crisp explanation on block chain consensus..... It took 30 mins in NPTEL for the same content 😩

Ofc Navin

same doubt..!
i think consensus is the next step after block verification. After block has been verified, now we get to decide who gets to add it..
The block is first verified by a different algorithm before getting to the consensus stage.
Miners do the transactions validation through the distributed ledger they have.
Tranaction (Data) verification happen prior to added that tx or data to block.
Heyy sir I'm glad to see that your videos are now looking more easy to understand i mean the way the animations and everything. Keep going

Malicious simply means doing work that is not intended for that node.
Nodes are only to be used for computational milestone.

solving puzzle is not solving the addition or substration its completely different thing. Also it varies from block chain to block chain.
What is Rayleigh consensus algorithm
