ASMR Gaming Whisper: No Man's Sky

- No Man's Sky is a brand new sci-fi exploration game set in an infinite procedurally-generated universe. I've received TONS of requests to do a video with it, and here it is! Thanks to all who requested it. Join me as I play the first hour of the game and learn the in-and-outs of survival on an alien planet. I've really enjoyed my time with the game so far, and I think its relaxed pace, beautiful sights and sounds, and exploration-based gameplay make it a great fit for ASMR. Let me know if you agree! Triggers include whispering and clicky controller sounds.

---- What's ASMR, and why am I whispering? ----
I whisper in my videos because they're intended to trigger a sensation called ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a specific feeling that some people experience when they hear certain soft sounds, like whispering and tapping, or see certain visuals, like deliberate hand motions. It's often described as a pleasant tingling in the head and neck, accompanied by a sense of calmness and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to help them relax or fall asleep. I'd say it was as good as it could have possibly been, minus the occasional graphical hitch (which you cant control really).

it's great, I don't really understand what people expected. it does exactly what they said it would, you explore, trade and fight in space. you learn languages and it has mysterious aliens and other stuff that makes me want to explore more!
Exactly. The problem is it got ppl who only play AAA games way too excited for it. Its just an INDY game and if u look at it from an INDY perspective its fantastic. But if u look from a AAA perspective it's not that great.

I've got 40 hours in and im neither impressed or disappointed. I knew I was an Indy game so I knew it was gonna be way more about visuals and stuff. Its not a typical game or a AAA game

Same mine was so hard it was a radiated planet and I had no Idea how to play and the life support and hazard protection levels always ran out

THANK YOU for tuning the ingame sounds so that they don't interrupt the relaxation factor. I've seen way too many NMS ASMR videos lately that are too grating because of the in game sounds.

Great video! The game may not have been what we expected, but I think it still works pretty well for ASMR. I made a video of it myself and thought the music, visuals, and exploration make it a pretty cool experience still.

Great vid! Just a tip though: SCAN EVERYTHING. Use your location scanner frequently to locate items and resources of interest. Then use your Multi-Tool Analysis Scanner to log information about the Flora and Fauna on any given planet. Also, for free credits you can then go into your start menu and "Upload" your findings, and while in the uploading screen you can also rename creatures, plants, structures, and even planets and systems.

Right? It just seems like and endless, somewhat interesting map that all you do is walk or fly around in. They should've realized that games like Minecraft contains "endless" in the background of the entire game, not the foreground. Endless is only interesting if you can actually do things in it.

You gotta use your scanner man, it tells you what materials are nearby, like Heridium. Also, large drops, you can break your fall with your jetpack. And you have a torch for cave exploring, press up on the dpad. Just a few tips, love the video.
I really enjoy this game. I've got a lot play time already on it and it's definitely a perfect game for asmr with the in game music and just in general relaxing play

Brilliant video. I would suggest a relaxing Journey playthrough. it's already a great game and you adding the asmr twist would make it even better.
This is what i always expected no man sky, calm and time killer, with other activist, it got over hyped because of what everyone thought an INDIE game would be without considering the fact where it came from.

Great video! Very relaxing. But yes as others have complained, the inventory management systems really sucks in this game. Once you have both the ship and your suit full there is no way to swap out items from each other. You always need a slot empty to trade out something or to craft something. Also you'll come to learn that with upgrades you have even less room to store stuff. I personally think the inventory management systems needs an overhaul.
I mean you can have 48 slots in your exosuit and 48 in your ship which is plenty of storage tbh honest.
This is the perfect game for asmr wanders. More please :)

you could have flown over to the heridium with the launch thruster, you just couldn't leave the planet without the pulse engine lol. also, you need to use that mining beam upgrade to make that more efficient. and lastly you can stack in your inventory. otherwise, keep it up! your journey has begun.
When might the new Thief episode come out? Honestly probably my most favorite gaming playthrough series right now. Not even the ASMR, thats always good but it fits Thief so well and you're quite good at narrating in a style that matches the feel of the gameplay. Keep up the good work nonetheless.

It is like art. Black and white conveys curtain themes but not actual reality. You don't say to the artist "sir, actually those blades of grass are green." when the rest of the drawing was black and white.
