I think this is undervalued. Worth more.
Equivalent to £14,500 - £18,200 in today's value
😊 she looked underwhelmed really
From other antique valuable jewellery they seem valued lower than what we believe they're worth so this valuation seems on par with others. Fashion of the moment dictates the values. Currently the art deco ones which seems low values but are highly priced.
Wake up this program aired 40 years ago. Then it was the correct valuation.
The show was from 2000 so 24 years ago not forty but still the evaluation was probably correct for the time
That's gorgeous -- and it does look just like something you'd see in a Holbein portrait.
That really is stunning! And in such beautiful condition.
(imo).
Stunning!
Can 't get enough of your most excellent exposures of treasures.❤❤❤❤
Visually splendid.
That valuation seems outdated. I'm sure that piece would be worth a lot more today! Stunning centre stone..I love Peridot
This is a clip first aired in 2000 so, yes, one might expect it to be outdated by about 24 years.
Magnificent design...!
Beautiful Peridot..
Unbelievable
Lovely piece
Wonderful!
Oh so lovely.
Far-out the back is the Red Poppy Flower.😊
Gorgeous peridot.
That’s actually not undervalued.
While it’s beautiful, peridot is not a very expensive gem.
The value here is in the exquisite design and gold.
Depends on where the peridot was mined, the carat weight, clarity and cut and that looks like a spectacular stone! Typically peridot can be on the lower end, but that piece as a whole should certainly fetch more than that at auction.
Geoffrey is such a lovely man.
August birthstone,, same as me
That’s heavy man
This is definitely more than $10K. This piece is stunning. I hope they still have it. Definitely needs to taken elsewhere.
Very pretty 😍
Beautful🎉
It's beautiful it's a shame he didn't say anything about the stones
Wow
I want that!
Me too! What a beautiful pendant! ❤❤❤
It’s an Indian technique called Meenakari. The goldsmith must have acquired it from some Indian aristocrat /royalty.
Meenakari originated in persia and mughal emperor Akbar introduced meenakari in india.. enamel work is not original to india.. it has been
This episode was filmed in the year 2000, prices and value are based on that time.
Lovely antique Victorian pendant.
Elizabethan style.
What type stone is it?
i think he said one in middle is peridot
My birth stone Peridot
Peridot in the center
Looks like peridot .
The center is a semi-precious stone called a Peridot.
Nice rock
love it
Peridot
This value seems way too low. Then again, what are all of the stones? Need more info.
This was filmed 24 years ago.
✔️
Looks more expensive than that quote.
Everyone that brings their antiques to the roadshow they expect the expert to say the items worth millions.
Obviously she didn't because she looks pleasantly surprised (not disappointed) at his valuation of 8-10,000 GBP
10000 pound is such injustice, its worth atleast double of that....!! If those are real Victorian diamonds then its certainly worth even more....!! Those Diamonds themselves worth more than 10000 pounds
Well, that's saying everyone can have it.
I thought it would be worth more a lot more.
What kind of enamel
Gold was in the eyes of the Native Americans was described as ",, The good for Nothing yellow metal that drives the white man crazy!"
It has to be worth more. I will you weigh more for that.
8k! what a load bullshit.
Garnet
Peridot. He says it.
