During that period the people of eastern region may have wanted a secession because many Ibos were killed in the North. There is no such justification now. I don't at this point want into the details of the issue of why many Ibos were killed in the north. Suffice it to state that it was in retaliation for the death of northern politicians while no Ibo leader was killed during the coup and the coup was led by an Ibo.

There is something I notice about all these analysis, politicking and rhetorical solutions of Nigeria. The fact reality is that Nigerians do not understand one simple fact about the Igbos.
