    Justin nailed it regarding those who have no chance at saving enough for retirement. I am , 62, never saved when younger, barely kept afloat working my ass off. By a few years ago, had managed to save a bit, bought $BYND for $45 sold it at $200. Did some swing trading, $TSLA, and now hold $TSLA as well as swing/dat trade $TSLA and others, and have managed to create a little nest egg. Trading and $TSLA is now my retirement plan😮 When you have no choice, ya gotta swing for the fences.

      Inflation arisen from inefficiencies in the market place cannot be corrected by raising interest rates. A return to free trade on a world wide scale is the only hope. When you aren’t in margin and you know what you are invested in with a time horizon of a decade you take advantage of buying the highest growth stocks with the strongest balance sheets and Tesla is at the top of my list the lower things go and the longer the recovery takes the better for me.

    Hi Dave this is one of the key reason why we need to go 100% EV, the less demand we have for oil is it is a less countries who have a lot of it can use it to threaten the world.

    • @rainerbittner77
      @rainerbittner77 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a study that shows that even if we go 100% in renewables, the oil and gas demand will still slightly grow because of the plastic, Pharma etc industries, coupled with the growing demand of emerging markets and their bigger middle classes.
      So probably less CO2 , that’s right but not less demand.

    So, if I take my Tesla valuation model, growing to 5 million deliveries in 2025, 30% gross margin and a 40x P/E I still get to a 2000 PPS in 2025, and 22.4% IRR based on $900 pps today. Not worried about temporary dips, just keep adding as prices are depressed. However, I have a feeling that the dip may be over after earnings report comes out.

    • @bilgyno1
      @bilgyno1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@9770G please also do your own math, I could be wrong. Also, valuations are subject to external factors as we see today. But I have 2024 on $1700. I have high confidence in Tesla ramping up to 5 million units per year in 2025. I don't really project a valuation ahead to 2030, as there are too many uncertainties, including the growth and acceptance of Chinese OEMs in the West. My model just ramps up to 11 million units sold, which many would call too bearish. No FSD, no insurance, no Energy business, no storage, etc. I want to see more details on next gen factories before I get more confidence there. Also, will be enough time to evaluate the stock 5 years ahead in 2025.

    "EV adoption rate taking total # of EV reservation into consideration":
    I think there are 2 ways of measuring the rate of EV adoption.
    There are a lot of prospects waiting for their order and those people will not purchase ICE cars so in the future, (ICE sales - # of EV reservation) will be the # of ICE sales (denominator) and (EV sales + # of reservation) will be the # of EV user including prospects (fraction).

    I don't know why people keep thinking something is solvable when it's already done. The inflation is a response to the solution that solved another problem. For some reason people think the run up in the markets was the normal response to the environment, why the market rise was the abnormal condition. This drop in the market is the normalization of an abnormal market state. The S&P and stocks don't rise this much in normal markets. Some of these stocks are still very high when you measure what they do in revenue and earnings and aren't even cashflow positive and self-sustaining.

    First profit taxes did drop, growing profits. Great. Now we see that escaping profit taxes will be stopped, hurting the biggest companies most. Now Inflation is also back, some based on bottlenecks in supply but also just for margin- bonus greed - which will result in interest rates back up. All did recommend this to Turkey!
    No interest resulted in high PE valuations and crazy high property prices. Free money did lead to over cooking so a correction is logically.
    Many are getting nervous and now question is if an over reaction is coming pushing everyone I amnto a recession.
    Printing money too much too long has been the trigger I think for this correction. Hope China keeps his engine running otherwise is can become messy.
    My personal recommendation: accelerate GREEN at all cost by governments and then energy inflation will disappear and all good again.

Because of when they built those nuclear reactors at high intrestrate they got high price for production and all went china. Now is take two. Workforce issues are not a problem it is issue that corporations doesnt want change they want cheaper workers but not change their production.

    I like that Justin thinks about a lot of things and has many considerations when answering a question, which is good. But the excessive points made in a jumbled-up sequence confuses and loses me as a listener. 😕

    The statement was made "that the virtual world is at least as large as the real world". Really?? Where are the facts that back up this off the cuff, throw away line. My quick and dirty calulation would be that the real world is about 200x the value of the virtual world.

    Why does any investment "expert" need to pitch monthly subscriptions, memberships, books, etc. It doesn't make any sense. That is why Dave is inherently more trustworthy he is just sharing his opinions without trying to manipulate gullible and desperate investors into buying the shovels for the gold rush unlike many of his guests.

      Because these "investment" youtubers see any income or service as an "investment" per se. They use everything they can to make money, thus that's their investment. A bit shitty, but the demographic are usually the uninformed or naive, which is the demographic for like 95% of worldly products and services lol

    The supply chain issue is a two pronged problem. One, you have over complicated, over zealous Covid measures. Two, the monopolization of certain sectors has allowed those industries to take advantage of the situation and artificially keep prices high. So how do we address this. One, Govt, should work with transportation to ease Covid measures responsibly. Two, Govt should get investigators to identify companies that are gaming the system and write letters indicating that these companies will be put on trial for collusion and that the penalties will be triple the of what is found that they have gained.
