Tommy Cooper was the funniest comedian ever loved Eric morecambe as well nothing between them but as a kid i saw tommy and laughed the guy had a gift 😁
@@daviniarobbins9298 And Tommy's death was broadcast on live television. Nobody knew it was for real...they thought it was part of his act. The audience was laughing as he lay dying on the stage. I guess if you are a comedian, it's the best way to go out.
He performed in Las Vegas and on the Ed Sullivan show several times during the 60s! He was booked solid in England otherwise he would have performed more here! Also his agent wanted him in England to keep an eye on him!
De man was geniaal! Menig vonden dat hij niet kon goochelen ...... Maar dat kon hij juist wél ... Tommy cooper, laurel & hardy, andre van duin ........
this has got to be one of his most out there performances ever. I wonder if, as seems to be noted here by others, that - as it was only meant for dutch tv - he was just trying things out. some absolutely fantastic stuff for the cooper junkie, though... thanks for the upload!
What a fantastic comedian, but the biggest minus with him is that, well, some times i can't understand what he is saying. Quite a shame, as i would love to understand all the jokes, but the ones i do understand though are just brilliant.
Fun fact: when he had his fatal heart attack on stage, people initially thought he faked his death as part of the act, so they just kept laughing. It wasn’t until the next morning until they realized what actually happened.
why Have I never seen this stuff before? (I love comedy, I go to comedy clubs and everything, yet I have never seen this? what the hell is wrong with me?!(
Nothing wrong with you...Tommy died in 1984. You were probably just born to late to know about him. Now that you've found him, you can catch up on his golden stuff.
If there is ever a film about his life, I think Tommy from Ground Force could play him. The looks are fairly close but the demeanor are very similar. Of course he probably doesn't have the reputation and they will hire someone else with an acting pedigree.
And the power of laughing after you’ve told a joke. Laughing is such a social thing that if you tell a joke and start laughing most people will laugh along with you.
Watched Tommy when I was a child, never found him that funny then or now but he had a very interesting life indeed and a very sudden death. English TV comedy has aged terribly apart from Fawlty towers. Same experience worldwide. Father Ted was funny years ago, but not now.

You don't get this brilliance on tv no more am in stitches all the time
RIP Tommy. Thank you for all the laughs❤❤❤❤❤❤
RIP Tommy. :( Thanks for the laughs . Best comedian ever. We really loved you man.

The one and only Tommy Cooper!
Tommy Cooper was the funniest comedian ever loved Eric morecambe as well nothing between them but as a kid i saw tommy and laughed the guy had a gift 😁
They both died within a month of each other. One died in April and the other in May.

He was the one who represented pretty well our british humour around the world!
You mean to say the Brittish have humor? I thought the Germans had!
Fucking Europe. You ruined The Planet Earth. It is immeasurably worse and I hate the soil from which you drew your nutrients.
2020 and he's still original. Brilliant
Oh man wish he was still around.
i love this man Tommie Cooper
"I wish I was somebody else" as a show starter has to be the best line ever.
Tommy got that one from Woody Allen's 'My one regret in life is that I am not someone else'
The balloon! I cried with laughter

Thank you indeed 4 the video!
I'm surprised that he wasn't more well known here in the US.He slams!
He performed in Las Vegas and on the Ed Sullivan show several times during the 60s! He was booked solid in England otherwise he would have performed more here! Also his agent wanted him in England to keep an eye on him!
Ik ben er als kind mee opgegroeid en ik kan er steeds eer mee lachen,
sublieme humor!

The old "man walks past backstage" trick....never fails. But Tommy and his expression takes it to a new level.

Funny stuff. It's vaudeville
@@vincentanguoni8938 Just the kind of thing the Dutch would enjoy. All the magic went wrong and no decent jokes. They will love it!
These are all clips culled from his Thames Television shows of the 70s and 80s.
I have seen him live in Manchester forty years ago very English humour
This just has Dutch subtitles on it from a Dutch TV broadcast but he was not performing just for Dutch TV.
best comedian ever.
7:42 - Ja, "de heupen liegen niet".
8:22 - Overeengekomen..

He had a thick West Country accent!! I loved it!! Tommy was a sweet funny man!!
Magic is "all set on stage, for stage, by stage" . Tommy says so.
I have that problem too as he talks a bit quick
What a class act !
great comedian he was :)
"Little flick" knot at the bottom LOL
They don't make them like that anymore.
Fun fact: when he had his fatal heart attack on stage, people initially thought he faked his death as part of the act, so they just kept laughing. It wasn’t until the next morning until they realized what actually happened.
Joe Zegers.
Were they still laughing afterwards?
I am only 16 and in my opinion he is the best comedian ever
ya
I guess Tommy's heart just wasnt in his last performance. He decided to take a break.
note2owns and i guess you're just a dumbass toe rag
HIS LANGUAGE AND MY AFRIKAANS ARE VERY MUCH ALIKE
why Have I never seen this stuff before? (I love comedy, I go to comedy clubs and everything, yet I have never seen this? what the hell is wrong with me?!(

Now that Paul Daniels has gone, there is very littlev magic about
The jokes itself were not funny.
But the way he says them makes it funny.
And the power of laughing after you’ve told a joke. Laughing is such a social thing that if you tell a joke and start laughing most people will laugh along with you.
Omg the echo in the churche!!! 😂😂😂

English TV comedy has aged terribly apart from Fawlty towers. Same experience worldwide. Father Ted was funny years ago, but not now.
really?? I am still watching Father Ted reaction videos, and everybody loves it.
He died live on stage: JUST LIKE THAT!!
Yes he really did. There is a genuine video of it here on youtube.
I saw it happen on live TV at the time.
Nobody knew it was for real...they thought it was part of his act. The audience was laughing as he lay dying on the stage. I guess if you are a comedian, it's the best way to go out.

Hier krijg je de slappe lach van hahaha
+R Schraa Alleen die laatste dans act was verschrikkelijk slecht. Hij is sowieso het beste solo.
I wish I was somebody else.

LOL
I watched Tommy Cooper on acid. It was a bit freaky.
Egg's Aunt Ada. I didn’t know Tommy took acid.
I believe he left his Fez to Eric Sykes
If this is 'English vintage tv', why use the Union Flag ?
Tommy was actually Welsh from pontypridd.
The greatest worst magician ever ^_^
the pure art of nonsense!!!
Mental.

Very talented guy, but the finale of this episode? Painfully bad.
topneorej don't forget he was then not a well man. It is a shame though. He will allways make me laugh.
