I was contacted by a lady that mentioned she was friends with a Grandma and Grandpa and their yard was being taken over by weeds and brush and the local mower company isn’t taking care of it. Once I showed up, I was shocked fo find a Vehicle Hidden under the Grass. Then what I found next was even more shocking!

@9:32 - that tall plant that is still standing - it's called Opium lettuce. Dry it into a tea, and it's a huge help with serious pain. No danger of addiction - but nearly opioid level pain relief.

A battery & new tires for the truck is all it needs I think. Vehicles allowed to just rust in a yard when they could be able to run is a sad sight. Another magical job by Erik!

Wow what a big difference you had made in this yard. Clearing up between the trees makes more open feeling. Hidden gem was behind the truck an open space unable to see with the tall weeds.

It's a pretty cool yard but so overgrown. You did a real nice job opening it up. The woman said that Dodge Dakota is an '04. Easy peasy to get it running. Flush & replace all the fluids, new hoses, belts, plugs & battery. It might turn over. Eric if you had one of those brush masters. Whammo!!

We have several parts:)
One of those long gas hedge trimmers are a perfect tool for cutting stuff like that. With them you don't have to bend to cut. Tou can position the blade that is comfortable for you. They will cut things up to the diameter of your finger. A quarter to a half inch. Still makes a really good one. I think they around 200 to 250 dollars. Wel worth the money. Makes the job easier and takes less time to do it. Your back will thank you.

This video was really satisfying to watch! I think because the ground was not cluttered. It was like every swipe of the weed eater, you could see this thing really open up. I bet there has been a TON of offers to buy that truck and boat now!

What a nightmare to clear and clean up! I have R.A. and because of surgery to 3 toes I have formed a bunion. Surgery to fix it is not an option because the orthopedists said it would never heal correctly. I don’t ever buy shoes without trying them on, but I believe that I will try these Vessies. I need soft shoes like this, but wearing them in the rain is horrible. These might be my answer. Thanks!
They are comfortable!
You do some pretty heavy clearing with just the string on your trimmer. My compliments. Have you tried the brush blade that replaces the string end of those trimmers? I've found it makes much quicker work of the heavier brush than the string. Either way, good work!

Erik- you are always so kind and non-judgmental when you help people out. I know I would be wondering why in the heck someone would let weeds grow around a nice truck- was it stolen? Etc. Also I would be wondering about what was growing in the contractor’s buckets to the side of the door…I think people have been really traumatized by the pandemic and it shows up in really weird ways- like letting their truck be completely grown over. The work you do for people may well have a kind of good effect that we don’t understand yet. Based on comments it certainly helps your viewers. Once again thanks for your neighborhood leadership and kindness to people.

That reminds Me of of a Yard I mowed once. I had to use a Brush cutter on it. It looked Nice when I got finished with it.
For weeds that tall, why not modify the head of your weed eater to use a skill saw blade. Would cut through all those stems like butter. Make the job less tedious.

Such a huge job. Who abandons a car, boat etc? If they were cleaned up they could be sold helping the owners with finances. To let a place run wild is not good, with hot, dry summers followed by wet weather, there is always a risk of fire. You do excellent work Erik, thank you for helping people out.
