Think because he was more of a villain they needed to give him his comeuppance once in a while by having someone beat him in a fight, since he’s been written as more of an antihero they’ve made him basically indestructible 😂

Graham should also have got the better of Cain 100% he is probably the shows most skilled fighter and decently strong.

@@danniimayyy9607 Yeah I think initially the idea was that Jimmy was the toughest King brother which is quite understandable seeing as he was the taller & stocky of the three of them, the show certainly portrayed him as the toughest for a while, for some reason they then softened him up & made him a lot more of a comedic character after a while though. I think this is just bad writing having Jimmy overpower Cain. I mean I get it was 2 on 1 but Cain is supposed to be show’s main hardman so I don’t get it. It’s like when Alfie chucked Jack out the vic in Eastenders or when Gary dropped Phil
@@Pubhooligan74 In his first stint though Cain was tough but only really averagely so. He was more of just an out & out troublemaker in the village who handed out some pastings usually by bullying weaker people, he got roughed up plenty in his initial stint.
Yeah and Carl did get the better of Cain once as well when him and chas were breaking into the haulage yard, and that was when Cain was armed with a baseball bat
The issue is they softened up Jimmy significantly and made Cain much harder over the years. Carl King they also made weaker especially as he became more of a villan.

He let Carl King punch him in the face and draw blood he was noticeably beaten up and Carl would have gone further if Marlon and Eli had not intervened. he let them beat him up as some kind of attempt for them to make it equal after he stole £2.5 million from them. At this point Cain was actually as hard if not harder than either of the King brothers. Cain later decked Carl late 2010 with ease. Carl was still never scared of Cain though whereas Jimmy quickly became afraid of Cain and stopped challenging him.
@@gravemind6536 Emmerdale writers did a poor job of the Cain vs carl rivalry, hardly any proper physical altercations and they always let Carl off the hook and made it look like Cain was weary of him, where as Cain wouldn't think twice about hitting other characters when they disrespected him.
Yeah, even though his my favourite hardman along with Warren Fox no doubt Cain has had the most embarrassing moments out of all the elites Phil Mitchell has some but not as many as Cain

He was more interesting on his first stint. Writing became more heavy handed and repetitive as time went on.
