So, my dad passed away when I was 4 years old. As a result of this, i've obviously inherited some items. One of which is made of gold. It was his wedding ring when he married my mum. I've just reached the end of the video and heard what you said about gold and silver, making me properly look at the ring i'm wearing for the first time in a long while. I'm really, really glad I watched this video in particular. Supernovae are one of my favourite subjects, but intertwining it in that way hit different tonight. Your content is nothing short of brilliant SEA. I look forward to your next one.
Milions of people should see this! Anywhere I go, I would be telling how awesome this channel is, so it gets attention that it really deserves! Thank you for your work SEA!
I’m a writer and film editor, I’m currently working on a sci-fi that is supposed to be very grounded in science. It would be much more difficult to learn about this kind of subject without this miracle of a channel. Thank you so much for the work you do and the incredible effort you put into every video.
You’d think people who write films “very grounded in science” would hire a person knowledgeable about the field instead of learning dumbed down versions of very complex subjects.
@@Gushing69Granny but when you're making a movie meant to appeal to the masses, you always need to simplify the science somewhat. Not everyone has a B.Sc.

You manage to inform, educate and entertain (the old BBC motto) with every video you upload, and you also help me with my insomnia. Thank you mate, I don't know your name but you deserve recognition as one of the best TH-camrs out there.
I can’t believe how amazing all these videos are - it’s such a remarkable channel and such high-quality content- Godspeed, SEA, your videos are amazing to see 💕💕
I once heard space being described as "violent", and it has stuck with me ever since. It's humbling how delicate (known) life is, and the very specific conditions required for it to not only exist, but continue to flourish. Even the most hardy and adaptive of species are like a little snowflake in the grand scheme of cosmic conditions. We can't even leave our planet without carefully engineered tech without dying. Hell, you can even die falling out of bed! Sometimes I try to imagine what it would be like if I somehow fell into something like the sun, or a supernova, or a black hole. What would I see or hear? What torture it would be to be under such pressures and speeds. The closest I can imagine is broken ragdoll physics in a game, when a dead body gets stuck in the ground but its head or arm or whatever gets stretched to the other side of the map, and the whole thing is angrily vibrating trying to cope with the glitched collision. Then suddenly it gets yeeted out to the sky at the speed of sound, never to be seen again.
I'm a space video junkie and in my humble opinion, your videos are light years beyond the others out there. Please don't stop making these or change anything about the way you make them! Thank you so much
I listen to these every night, ear buds in, wife watching TV. I’ve listened to some of these four or five times now, great brain food. Keep up the great work!!!!
You are probably my favorite TH-cam channel. Your videos are so relaxing, gripping, informative and you make it accessible and easy to understand. Thank you so much for your hard work. 🙏🏽
Some of the finest documentary channels on TH-cam, your narration skills are absolutely on point. The graphics along with the music selection was some of the finest I've seen. Good job Sea, you're killing it... can't wait for more fire!
Yoooo the GD legend is all grown up. I’m sure you’ve heard this a lot over the past three years but I’m super happy to see what this channel has turned into. It was a pleasant surprise to come back after four years and see this channel not only persisting, but rather thriving.
I can not believe we have access to such amazing content. The visuals are a 10/10. The narrating is a 10/10. Each new video is on a new and exciting topic. Again, the visuals, graphs, demonstrations of information ... it's all so, so good.
I'm so glad this channel was recommended to me. Anything space is awsome and the topics as well as the production value in these videos is out of this world. Not only do I feel relaxed when watching/listening i also learn something new and that's priceless. Please keep up the great work.
I get so EXCITED when I see a new SEA video has been uploaded! Thank you so much for all the effort that goes into your AMAZING videos! They are terrific!!
This was a fantastic video. As a suggestion for a future video, I think it'd be fascinating if you devoted an entire episode to the cosmic origins of the elements. In other words, which elements were created in the Big Bang, which are created during a star's Red Giant phase, which are created by supernovas, etc. There are a couple of lectures on this topic on TH-cam, but it's such an interesting subject and it would benefit from your storytelling and production polish.
by far, the best explanation regarding supernovae for general public ever done. on any media. ever. I am speachless and almost in tears by this levell of capacity, creativity while comunicating science in such incomparable, beautiful and generous way.. thank you SEA
Another perfectly produced and pricelessly informative video. Thanks for being the first person to actually explain a “standard candle” to me in a way my simple brain can understand.
I was waiting for you to make a video on Supernovae, it is one of my favorite topics when discussing about astronomy, and Im so glad that you made this. Thanks SEA
I used to watch these to go to sleep. Now I watch during the day because this is stuff I want to remember. Love cutting my teeth on the cutting edge with your help, Sea
Same here! Every night, I watch a few of these as I drift off to sleep, contemplating the abject enormity of the universe! It genuinely puts me at peace.

I watch a lot of this type of content, its not very often I get exposed to new material about things like supernova, so I am super glad videos like this are being made. Phenominal
SEA’s videos are astounding! Seriously, some of the best educational content on TH-cam by far. SEA should get way more exposure/credit than what it’s currently getting. Documentary quality work. I could easily imagine seeing these as episodes on any streaming service (Netflix,Disney+,etc.) or cable tv (NatGeo,Discovery, etc.) Great job! Keep it up! 👍👏
I just like the form of your presentation: you are calm and relaxing, occasionally perhaps a little bit sensational, but due to the matter explained, it has to be. You are describing heavily energetic processes, so you give an example that one may have a clue of the dimension talked about. Thank you.
To me you're David Attenborough of Space. I play these at 0.75 speed to prolong the enjoyment, which also increases the DA effect. Also the slwer pacing helps my thick brain to digest the info.
Thank you for your another breathtaking and illuminating production video. I’ll have a look in a minute, but I haven’t come across it yet in your channel; but I’d love you to talk about the current thinking on how the more exotic heavy elements are produced… The way you explain things is so accessible.
for some reason i haven't received notifications when you upload even though i've turned on channel notifications... oh well, just more great content for me to watch now :D edit: also how do you have only ~440k subs with content this good
Great video. Should be a part 2 though explaining electron capture supernovae and pair instability (the latter dives more into hypothetical territory but I’m all for it)
