we have now the teleconsultation here in the Philippines, all private hospitals are doing that now, since the pandemic starts with the aid of the video communication system like zoom, so we are not technically behind like the one you are working :-)
Good to know that Arvin is getting better in overcoming his shyness. Did not know he was with St Luke's in Manila. That was our family hospital since I could remember from my childhood days. A very prestigious hospital started by the Americans and run by our church---the Protestant Episcopal Church of the USA.
It was good to hear Arvin finally speak to tell us about his work. I'm also glad that you're enjoying your new job as well Cord. I was the number 1 fireman on board the ship I was on when I was in the U.S. Coast Guard. I've been working lately doing para-transit driver services. And happy Independence Day to you both.

My line of work is in health care administration dealing with the revenue side as well as transparency. Basically I get paid by tax payers to ensure that their tax dollars are being well spent. It is extremely complicated and a position that has me working with the nurses, social workers and the providers of the agency I work for as well as our software vendor and our IT department. Glad you shared all of this with us and hope that your positive roll thinking is well adapted by your employers. Thanks and happy 4th!!!!
During my time, in the late 80's, there was a big shortage of nurses in the US, the only test we need to pass to get a working visa to the US was Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools or CGFNS, you need to pass bother the Nursing and English part. We were given a working permit for a year and we need to pass the state board exam within that year. After 3&1/2 years we were eligible to apply for a green card and later for US citizenship. I meet my partner here in the US and he has been to the Philippines 10 times, we are planning to retire there and spend our vacations here in the US.
