Very interesting to hear the thoughts and concepts behind a new design. I for one would like to say I don't need constant model cycling. Some minor improvements here and there but mostly I want some familiarity when it's time to buy again.
Not gonna lie that part about the studs being “scientifically” better compared to conical studs is hard for me to believe. You mean to tell me after all these years of creating AG sole plates (which btw are predominantly conical) somehow bladed studs in the form of a circle somehow aid in keep players from injury? Yeah, that’s cap. Fair to Jay for actually asking this question but I mean the PLM coulda answered this a bit more honestly.

Typically blades when laid out in most of the common patterns we see aid in greater traction than conical studs, but the trade off is with all that grip injuries are more common. The circular layout of the blades under the forefoot logically makes sense for reducing drag/traction when pivoting which is when most injuries occur… that said it’s still grippier than AG studs so not recommended for AG.
@@shanec8224 fair point. But there are too many negative variables for me personally to have blind faith in that stud pattern. I get that no stud pattern is perfect. It’s highly unlikely a boot will ever have a “perfect outsole” unless it’s built specifically to mine or yours or someone else’s unique foot/biomechanics. But again you make a fair point, it all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.
Tiempo 9 Montebelluna was the best boot's of 2023. Had to get them for my Son, love's K leather an Nike's last Elite leather. He's wearing the Phantom TC Tech Craft an said they are great
The only thing i dont like is the naming if i remember correctly the luna is the one with upper sock.in my opinion thats just confusing for the average people.
Is this code for Luna was a disaster, and our suppliers are complaining about inventory. Thus, we need to get rid of the Luna sole plates. We know it screws up a perfectly good boot silo, but we are Nike and don’t really care.
Surprised jaynike didnt ask about the reasons behind them totally dropping thr Luna from a women specific boot perspective. Yes its kept spiritually in thr GX 2, but considering the marketing behind the luna 1 and the women specific fit, it would have been interesting to understand why that was dropped - was it female player feedback that they preferred mens fit? Etc

I think it's about how it fits your foot. The Phantom 2 seem to fit my foot really well whilst the Predator was the same on side and toe but was way too tight across the top of my foot so i went with Phantoms off that (legends were a bit too narrow and the half size up too long in the toe for me) but your feet are prob different so maybe have an idea of 2 or 3 designs and then see which fits you best

If you have good ball control, beat opponents with things other than skill. Change of pace, body feints, etc.
