Elevation angle measurements are taken from a horizontal plane. You globers even admit you derive lines of Latitude from elevation angles to Polaris. A Sextant is an angle measuring device. Angles are two straight lines meeting at a vertex. A line in geometry is defined as having No bends. It is impossible to take an elevation angle with a curved adjacent. Earth is measured Flat by way of elevation angles. Flat is Not a shape, it's only an aspect of a surface. Flat Earthers make No claims to any overall shape.

Those things largely do not concern Flat Earthers as they are not physics nor do they prove or disprove any "shape" of Earth. - Much of your geological phenomena is made up BS to help push your false narrative such as Plate Tectonics. We have never drilled down more than 8 miles. Such plates have Never Been observed to Exist. They exist in Math Only. You cannot reify a mathematical model into reality, that's wholly fallacious.
@@DivergentDroid Solar and lunar eclipses, moon phases, time zones, season, Northern and Southern hemisphere star trails/Pole stars and constellations, sunrises sunsets moonrises and moonsets, circumnavigation and much more can all be explained and are literally PREDICTED using a spherical Earth model. And none of it makes sense on a flat plane with no curvature. Again, no Flat Earther has ever been able to explain how these things would work on a flat surface without a curve because they can't. And because they can't, they also cannot come up with a competent working model that explains all Earth phenomena like a spherical Earth can. Period.
Nowhere can you find a tiny ball of dirt spinning around with water and life sticking to it. You can however find lots of sealed jars with their own ecosystems. Some that have been sealed for years.
@@DivergentDroidHere's one bit of geological phenomena that isn't "made up". We can all see the sun and moon rise and set above and below the horizon. When they do, they drop below the horizon and rise above it without changing size. And when the sun completely disappears beyond the horizon it takes its light with it. This would not be in any way possible on a flat plane with no curvature, unless you believe the sun and moon are somehow magically vanishing into the flat Earth..
