when TBC released i did ton of duels, and ton of duels especialy vs mages no pots no engennaring etc stuff. i noticed that if you break mages evocation, you can win fight as tier 1 gladiator while mage will be in t3 vengeful gladiator, the only thing that saved them is fking cunjured mana stones. otherwise if you are in similar it doesnt help that much, cahrge/intercept rend reflect duel heal with iron will eventualy mage shoudl drain out ofc if you dont do fkups add here fact that warrior cant use his 3 abilities, and they still have insane 30 min CD shared..... imgaine mages coudlnt use iceblcok and evocation on arena, and it was 30 min CD shared with evocation and gave punishment as more damage income :D
I'm playing both mage and warrior above 2,2k. Really good video with nice baits from your side. Ziqo threw a bit at the end but is obviously one of the best mages in the game. This Matchup is obviously in mage's favour but its definitly possible to win as a warrior with the help of LOS in tbc by out-of-mana-baiting the mage, which you did perfectly. If he would blizzard you once more in the end with his last 15% mana instead of running in everybody would LOL at the warrior. One single decision changed the outcome so much which makes this game so great.
Also Blizzard take notes.... this is one Expansion where mana management as Mage is extremly important and make the gameplay much more skill dependent... why did you abandon mana management in every other expansion
Why? Hes just a R1 Mage, not a very good WoW-player. Thats like you win rolls when you have a dice with 22-39 and your enemys dice 1-25 :D If you get Gladiator with Warrior/Sham you just play better than someone who did R1 with RMP, Rogue/Mage or double Mage.
I think Ziqo was overconfident at first once he got above 50% hp/mana, since it's an easy match up for the mage. I know at least one of those pet novas was flawlessly juked too, which is incredibly rare to see from a warrior.
What HP Display? Thats Standard Blizzard Raidframe, you can use it as grp frame, move it and change how big it is in options or when you click the "->" on the left side Or Options -> Interface -> Raidframe.
Imagine trying to tell at 2900+ player how to play.... Ziqo covered combat with a cs to stop alot charges from hito... charge generates rage...no charge no rage for spell reflect... atleast that's how I would explain what I just watched. Could be wrong but atleast I'm not telling him how to play 😅😅

I know Ziqo is supergood and this wasn't like a proper duel. I just don't understand why he is casting frostbolts and blizzards. You get to a point where warr is sheeped. I cast 1 max rank frostbolt to open the sheep. Then i basically run around scorching and icelancing the warrior to death while having fire ward up. There's no need to ever cast frostbolts or blizzards. You can never be slowed if you don't cast frostbolts. And that's the only way a warrior can ever kill you. If you're slowed. So just remove that chance by never casting frostbolts. You can never die.

Now i'm old and washed up. Can get to around gladiator now. If you never cast frostbolts. The warrior can never reflect a frostbolt onto you. Which is the only way they have of doing damage to you. But you'll probably reply some stupid s*** anyways. Cause most people are born dumb.
thing is that this is not an open field duel... Los is a thing. Warrior baited the mage by being TOO low. If the warrior mindlessly chases the mage around, it's just hopeless.. the warrior will never catch up to the mage.

Then you gotta throw in some timed arc missiles. However your movements dictate the warriors movement. He has to chase you and you got coc, nova and pet nova. He has a hamstring which you can break by trinket, or iceblocks.

The goal is to lure him into a bad spot by baiting him with low health and then just pray for a couple of lucky crits and a lucky mace stun proc. Mage can still trinket, ice block and shit like that.. but thats all u can hope for. To get him into that spot and get lucky. that's how bad this match up is for a warrior. But the LOS factor basically makes the 0% chance into.. 2-3% or smt.
I mean… at the very top level you can assume people will break ccs using dispel and trinket.. I personally will hover my finger over the keybind waiting for trinkets and dispels .. I can do this and I’m not good 😊 .. also holy cow this warrior is nutty as f 🎉
@@Hitokiro it kinda is... it is very limited to what you can do, ability wise. There's still some skill involved, but it's usually about the enviroment around you, your positioning and stuff like that. the classes/specs, mechanically wise.. are very easy and limited to what they can do.
Must be fun playing the 1v1 so well as a mage, struggling back to full health/mana twice by executing a near-perfect kiting rotation, only to make the wrong decision once and getting completely destroyed in 3 mortals, 3 melees, 1 hamstring, 1 spell-reflected fireblast and 1 execute. Doesn't seem like you outplayed it, you just took advantage of his misplays in the most basic way possible. Don't even pretend that fireblast spell-reflect was a good play, even a 1k rated brain damaged warrior can do that.
Because the comment section is celebrating the outplay of the warrior and gloating about the skill of this guy, when it was really a misplay of the mage.
Go tell blizzard and tell them that they are fking donkeys warriors has gcd on pummel in vanilla and tbc till wotlk, while mages has no gcd on counterpsell, warriors only onle class that break absorbs with auto attacks 0 rage vanilla and tBC ( wtfk is this ???))
