dude bless you for making this video! I'm remaking the freeform techno machine demo by steevio and this is JUST what I needed with the precision adders.
24:25 "Two different swing amounts"... you got me thinking about how I could do this sort of thing in Cubase, and I imagine it would be damn fiddly to set up the right sort of quantise grids to handle it. Of course, even if I did manage it I would quickly come up against something else that couldn't be done without modular. I'm actually planning to make a whole album of music based on mathematical ideas, and I'd given up on Eurorack as I don't have the budget. Your videos have convinced me that there IS a way, and I'm pretty excited now. Thank you so much!
Omri, a day before you posted this I found out Steevio (ashamed to not have been knowing him b4), fell in love and thought of sending u a message if u could upload some tutorial about that. I'm not so spiritual to believe in telepathy XD, but u definetly made my day !!!!!!!
Omri, this a fine selection for a video! I know has been discussed a lot - however I'm really happy that you are expanding upon it because it helps so many people out. Thank you!
Thank you, Omri! Very useful notes! Just opened my eyes, how Steevio setup can be done a bit simpler. Like he is using 4 quantisers before the matrix mixer, but using 1 for all notes after mixer works great as well!
Can you please break down Aphex percussion style programming in VCV ? It would be amazing to see how you handle resets, rolls, flam and sudden sequence changes!
Hi Mr Cohen, thanks for your very inspiring tuto! I'm searching a module like the 1:8 bogaudio, where i can choose the step lenght 3-5-7. it's hard to find. There is EMW 8 Step Trigger Sequencer, Delptronics Trigger Man or maybe Euclidean Circles v2 but they can't do polyrythm Maybe a module coupled wwith doepfer A-161 (the right part of the bogaudio 1:8)
hey @omri cohen, nice video! i have a question regarding the swing - i got the concept of constructing swing with trigger delays but steevio mentions in one of his videos that he uses a matrix mixer to send around that one swing in different amounts to several voices. otherwise he would have to create as many swings as he wants to send to his voices. how would that work with a matrix mixer, or did i misunderstand? cheers for helping me out!
@@OmriCohen-Music thx! th-cam.com/video/x6hJa2lRRgM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DKq4R6BmQX6Y7oQK&t=95 now that i watched again it's probably more straightforward than i thought - he has 2 delayed clocks and he uses a maxtrix mixer to send them around in his system...
@@thevinxibit Yeah, it looks like he's sending both to various places, but differently mixed, so the voices will have shuffle, but with a different amount according to the delay time.
Hi! Thanks so much, I appreciate it! About the cursor, I managed to record videos with a larger cursor so it's more seen. Have a look here, for example - th-cam.com/video/LRIhy6HBNks/w-d-xo.html
@@OmriCohen-Music I'm a bit sensitive to those who are color blind. I'm not, but one of my best friends is. If he saw this he'd be completely lost. Cursor apps offer either a circle around the pointer, or a momentary quick circle upon clicking. Try it out. It helps a lot. Try myPoint or Simple Mouse Locator.
Hey omri. Thx for explaining steevios techniques.. Maybe you know that he uses a delay trigger shift from doepfer to add swing. But when i shift my triggers, i also shift the 1 and the 3. Usual swing is added to the 2 and 4.. Is there a solution to seperate the 1 and 3 trigers? I hope you understand what i mean?
Really helpful - thanks. Also, I find the sound of your voice pleasingly meditative.
I appreciate it :)
This is a lot info and very useful too. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing tutorial mate…
Thank you!
Absolutely awesome video. Thanks a lot, shout out to the massive and delightful oh yeah moment at 08:48 that pretty much sums up this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!

@@OmriCohen-Music I am pleased to inform you that I made a free precision adder module. you can find it in the library under "htAdder" :)

Is this possible with the Meta Module?

30:09 "We get constant variation". Constant variation... Interesting oxymoron, isn't it? ;)
