Always love your vids, long time discord lurker as well 😂, just wanted to thank you for the creativity you bring to the sff community. I was literally trying to figure out how to stuff a nuc board and the lp 4060 into the smallest space possible yesterday, but powering them had me a bit stumped so thanks for the elegant solution, and for tanking the electric shocks that i would inevitably have experienced firsthand 😅

A ryzen 8845HS based build would likely drop temps A LOT , its also available in small form factor boards bonus : the igpu ( 780m ) is around gtx 1650/2050/1060 level , which means an eco mode without a 4090 might help for most other user

What a Fun little system! While the NUC board is pretty awesome, I would love to see more builds with the mutant boards like the Eyrings and others using mobile chips. We get some pretty great efficiency compared to the desktop variants and I feel it's worth it to explore. Perhaps you can build an efficient PC, but slightly larger and fewer feature compromises. Fully populated M.2, nice clean GaN set up, maybe a nice 4060 LP or maybe a single fan 4070? Either that or go FULL on efficient and get an A2000, go single slot, and make a slim box.
Yup! Henced the cursed theme. :) I couldn't resist the memes when it all came out months ago and worked it out. My heart went out to AceMagic when I did some deep dive and found out WHY it came with viruses to begin with, and then how they handled it. I was impressed and wanted to give them a shot. I have a writeup about it all coming.
Make sure you replace the thermal paste under the IHS of the Erying board with PTM7950 - it has really bad pump out and will make a hotspot that will eventually kill the CPU over time if you don't. Solid board otherwise, though.

Yeah it's why I made this video. I was curious about it after watching all those videos, and getting to the bottom of HOW that could have happened. Once I found out how it happened, I realized it was a dumb mistake that wasn't malicious, and I saw how they handled it with recalls, extra support, refunds, and replacements. So then I got one and anonymously tested their support. The one I received I had a professional do a sweep on it with enterprise tools and it came back clean. It kinda killed the story I could have made, but I'm glad it was a redemption arc for them. I wouldn't blame anyone who never looks back though--it's why maintaining trust with consumers is so important and some mistakes you can't get past. But I think this one is. Peace!

Hello, @NotFromConcentrate ! Great video, but scary that you shocked yourself in the process! Questions about the giveaway. How can I tag you on twitter? Is this being handled by innocin? Also, when is the drawing? Thanks for setting this up for us! 😄
It's all handled by innocn! I'm sure if you asked them on their twitter they would help you. But I do have the instructions they provided in the Video Description you should be able to copy/paste. It's truly a SICK monitor and one of my favorites so I encourage you to sign up...I don't get anything if you do or don't I just think you should. :D
Hello! Video Purpose: 1. Use a NUC with a GPU. 2. Solve the riser problem and determine if it bottlenecks the GPU 3. Provide example of it fitting in a 3.4L case. I do have some synthetic benchmarks at 5:35, but the point isn't about this particular PCs performance. It's supposed to be an example so you can go take your own NUC, which you can do, because even with a 4090 a 4x m.2 riser won't hold it back. For the kind of video you are asking about; we have that on this channel! A couple actually. Please take a look if you have time and are interested.
sponsors/marketing people need to get over themselves everyone has left twitter and anyone still there supports such horrible values no one wants to associate with them anyway
Thank you for the good question! This seems overly complex but it's really simple. These mean well PSUs are always on when AC is connected to them. One is 19v, which powers the motherboard, and the other is 12v, which powers the GPU and the GPU riser. The motherboard will send a signal to the GPU telling it to wake up, so the PSU doesn't have to worry about that. The only thing is some GPUs the fans will spin, so you can wire a switch that cuts power to the PSU if you wish. For more questions check out some other videos where we explain the concept or the discord.
I'm still figuring it out. First three months is easy, next four months is really hard cause it's annoying, awkward, and itchy, but gotta power through. Now I don't really do a good job taking care of it cause I'm so busy but I really should learn how to trim and straighten it. But I appreciate the encouragement!
I'd actually buy this, I'm a Xbox series S user, and I wanted a PC to run modded MC and other games decently but I hate how not portable the big PC's are and how crap the Mini's are. I wanted one Xbox series S size if you get it. And that's perfect... How much 😂
