On the January 12, 2015, episode of First Take, Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless discuss the NFC Divisional playoff game between the Cowboys and Packers. Green Bay took the 26-21 win over Dallas in a game where Dez Bryant's catch was controversially overturned after officials determined Bryant did not complete the process of a catch while he was lunging towards the end zone.

Peak First Take. I think Skip has the better situation now with Shannon Sharpe on FS1 but Stephen A has the ESPN/Walt Disney brand to help fuel his current iteration of the show. I want these two guys to reunite one day.

Yep I still remember that. I’m a Seahawks fan, that game will always be known as the greatest NFC Championship Game Ever Played. Coming back from 16-0 to win. Then we know what happened weeks later. But Russel still can’t score from the 1 yard line. That was a double burn because that burned me too.

That bad call was karma for the week before when they needed bad calls to beat the Lions! (they had the first ever playoff picked up flag on an obvious pass interference and Dez ran on the field with no helmet and didn't get a flag on that same play)
Every playoff game had a situation with the packers offside kick, Seahawks not running the ball at the 1 ,pats vs ravens games n I think deflatgate too
@@ojmosby5755 Well to be fair deflate gate didn’t impact the game like the other things mentioned. You’re right the Patriots vs Ravens game had the Edelman TD pass which while not controversial was an unusual play that was the turning point of the game.

Everybody this year in the NFC team that won in the playoffs got screwed the week after. Should’ve been flagged on Dallas vs Detroit, then Dallas got screwed by what was a catch by dez. Green Bay had a big league then choked to Seattle, and lastly Seattle should’ve handed it to marshawn lynch, but ultimately they got picked off to seal their fate
Everybody knows if that pass had come from Tom Brady it would've been a catch and they wouldn't have bothered to review it.

I watched it live and as a bobbled. The ball and went to the ground I said that's not a complete catch. I knew the rule then and I know it was the right call now. Figure out a way to win Dallas instead of making excuses.
