This reincarnation was only a little bit better than the first disastrous one from BBC Two in 1997. Liza had some enthusiasm in there, but was too soft and deejay-ish to be suited for the show. The set is the same as the one used in ‘97, just with a different backdrop.
It's a game of advantages and disadvantages. The solo player is disadvantaged by playing alone, but has the advantage of having to connect fewer hexagons to win a round. And the opposite for the double players.
@@97channel And to compare/contrast if you go to the NBC Reboot of Blockbusters in the late 1980s, there it was a 1 vs 1 game, players alternating taking the up/down vs left/right pattern. If tied after two games, game three had one less column making it a 4x4 board to even it out. Just didnt feel like Blockbusters though!
Just an FYI, on the last show of the original US version, they pulled the stats, the solo players and the 2 person teams won about the same amount of money.
