I absolutely love the way dongdang sings this song and Tsuki no waltz. Their voice is so calming to listen to yet it conveys so many emotions. Truly amazing.❤❤❤ As for the backstory, I have a theory. The girl in white (Tsuki no waltz) killed the girl in black (Urami no waltz). In Tsuki no waltz, the girl in white is dancing on a skull. However, in Urami no Waltz, there is no skull to be found but blue liquid instead. I think the blue liquid that the girl in black is dancing on is her blood (I have no idea why it is blue though) and she is in the process of dying. Urami no Waltz represents the thoughts that went through her mind while she is dying and her resentment towards the girl in white. It also explains why at the end she is in the girl in white’s arms towards the end of the video. She just killed the girl in black. Tsuki no waltz is the other side of the story. It showcases the girl in white’s love towards the girl in black. However, the Aladdin-like/fairytale feeling(?) may imply that she is reminiscing on the dreamy past they Couple had. I think this is her thought process during and after her killing her love. Furthermore, them being a couple would also explain why the girl in black refers to the girl in white as the ‘dearly beloved of mine’. As for the motivation behind the killing, maybe it was for a ritual or something?? Would explain the candles. But any further than that, I am not sure. TLDR: The girls were a couple, but the girl in white killed girl in black for a ritual.
I was so excited to hear moon waltz at the start because i realized this was a sequel to it, a beauty of a sequel at that. I've listen to the cover of moon waltz countless amount of times and I feel like i would do so for this cover too.
