    This video was an absolute rollercoaster! The final battle with the Naga boss had me on the edge of my seat. When you rolled those snake eyes, it gave the perfect slice of hope right when it seemed like all was lost. The poison mechanic was brutal, but you handled it like a pro. Your perseverance and strategy truly paid off, making for a fantastic viewing experience. Keep up the awesome work, and I can’t wait for more adventures!
    By the way, I saw you tried going up on the morality chart with the Kroling. It didn’t pay off that much. Better run from the archangel and beat the dungeon. About the Shadow skill, I looked for some answers but didn’t find any. I’d argue that rerolling the 6 doesn’t apply since you’re not attacking with the dagger. You’re plunging and twisting it. Also, I’d definitely throw the axe-just pull it from your belt and throw it at the enemy! Oh, and you could have used the emerald to buy more potions, couldn’t you? I don’t know if it’s worth it, but anyway.

      I’m going to check BGG forums and see if I can find a rule clarification about Shadow and whether or not you need the axe equipped in order to throw it. I wanted to err on the side of caution and not cheat.
      The emerald would have afforded me one potion, but I figured that wasn’t worth it since potions only cost 1 gold. I wanted to save the emerald for something more expensive.

    That ending was pretty awesome. I like DD2 because it adds more variance. If you think it makes it too easy, you could always add the Beasts and Burdens and/or Realms and Relics content.

    Skin of your teeth! What a fun playthrough.
    I appreciate that you're like me in that you try to hew as closely as possible to the rules as written. However, sometimes I feel a game has missed its own point and I'm not shy about introducing "house rules" that I feel fix the intent. One place where i've done that with Iron Helm is weapon swapping. I know Jason Glover has been very specific about saying you can't swap weapons once combat begins, which puts you in situation like yours with that throwable axe being unsuable because you had the dagger equipped. But it seems to me that the weight limit in Iron Helm is plenty to discourage playthroughs with characters toting multiple weapons, so on the occasions when I do have multiple weapons, I want to be able to use them as needed, to take advantage of their, well, *advantages*! So I play that after each round of combat -- but NOT before initial damage -- my character has the option to change equipped weapons.
    Such a house rule might be beyond the pale for your purposes, but I do so hate having the perfect weapon for an encounter and being unable to use it! : )

      I definitely feel you on that. I just need to try my best to slow down a bit before a boss fight and triple check to make sure I’m prepared. I’ll learn the lesson eventually!

    Great playthrough as always! Shadow skill looks pretty strong & worked out well throughout....BUT - you must equip a Dagger to use it, I guess that's a kind of balance for it. Now you've got the Alchemy satchel you should be able to hang on to the Icehack for the next Boss fight to avoid the panic at the end! Hoping you add something else to it too - Artifacts/Enviroments - see how that changes things. Looks like your guy is going in quite strong so could handle it. BTW - how about naming these new characters? Maybe do a character creation at the end of a playthrough, ready for the next one, get people to shout out a name & you chose when you next play. Keep 'em coming!

      I like the idea of naming the characters! I also like the idea about creating the characters at the end and letting you guys suggest a name. I already have some Playthroughs recorded, but I’ll keep that in mind moving forward. I may give that a try and see how people like it. 😁

    Nice thematic build there. Sometimes it's fun to screw optimization and get into character. As for the shadow skill; if we take the wording as is then it seems it only works when the enemy gets an initial damage phase but... that doesn't really seem to make sense with what the theme of the card. For me, if there is going to be a limitation on it I'd rule that it can only be used when you pick an ambush first.

      I agree. I’ve done plenty of runs where I go for optimizing the build to be as successful as possible. I’m having fun dabbling with the other skills and gear.
      Yea, Shadow isn’t very clear about how it functions. I’ll likely continue playing it as I did in the video. I’m going to check BGG forums and see if there’s a rule clarification.

    This gave me a really stupid idea for a D&D character. A merfolk that specializes in scribing scrolls of Animate Dead. Call them the Dead Sea Scrolls.
