I'd personally agree with you. Being young your more likely to accidentally dent or damage the car. Best to get a older cheap car so you don't worry too much if that happens and no worry about the finance company
they do make a corsa E GSI although quite rare since it came for a short time out in late 2018 til the end of the corsa E in 2020 when the F replaced it. The GSI stood in for the corsa vxr when it got discontinued and this removed the Colour editions of the corsa E as the GSI shared the same engine and was made as the new performance Corsa since the VXR brand was taken away after Peugeot/Citroen Group PSA purchased Vauxhall.
Only let down was the power for me and I suppose the 3 doors. I ended up getting the 4 door 1.4 turbo. It's not a bad little everyday car. The GSI would have been really nice if the power was upped up a little and it was really expensive when we got it in South Africa, so it didn't make any sense (due to the engine).
Left the back box on for now but got a RAMAIR cone filter installed, and you can here that Turbo spin up, and here the gas release. sounds so cool, better than a dump valve
It’s 2024 and I have a 2016 limited edition corsa with 75hp. My insurance is 3k/year. Now there are factors such as the fact that I haven’t lived in the uk since birth and all, but honestly that’s mad…
Stock is 100bhp for the 1.4T so info is a little off, do a BLUEFIN upgrade which i did, or your Vauxhall dealer will do re-mapping now also as an upgrade
Ffs jamie.. dont encourage kids to get a fast 1st car 🤦♂️ yes there are some good drivers but most are idiots and drive like wankers with next to no power anyways!
I can honestly agree there sadly. Young lads especially in their financed bmw 1 series I watch out for. Obviously not all drive badly. I'm 22 now with a fiesta zetec s and even though it looks like a boy racery car I drive with a lot of respect for others except if I come across a knob 😤
David Ames my first car was a Ibiza pd130 which was remapped to just over 170bhp and 300 ft lbs of torque. I remapped it about 2 months after buying and have never crashed in my life. All depends on if you drive like an idiot
@@Birmingham_racing I think David is referring more towards the driving style of young drivers. I watch out for 1 series drivers as they tend to be driven by idiots and sometimes the A class driver. Do love the PD130 engine. Dad is selling his bora with it sadly due to ULEZ 😭
Yeah you put down 1.5K, pay £140 for 3 years and then have to chuck down a lump sum of like 6.5K to keep it or you give it back. Can think of dozens of other cars if rather have for less than half of that which would be what.. anything less than 6K?

35mpg on the motorway! I get 40mpg on my Leon Cupra and 30mpg around town. Vauxhall is a brand that I think I will never own down to personal choice, just not a fan of them.
I’m assuming you’re an older driver with driving experience. But then again it’s dsg so if you stay steady. That’s all you have to do. But I can be sure he’s got a heavier foot. And is a gear lower because he doesn’t want to cruise as much.
Aaron hmm, if he’s running 170 on a stage 1 then stage 2 you could expect with the supporting mods maybe 200bhp? That’s already more than a standard mk7 fiesta st, the corsa probably weighs a bit less and might be a little more responsive due to the smaller engine, haven’t driven either car but on paper I reckon the corsa might win
Just saying my first car was exactly that, Corsa E 1.4T lovely spec, granted its no !-series or anything but its such a great car for the price and tbh i wish id never got rid of it for a mk7.5 Fiesta ST
I think you may have missed the turbo experience from the Corsa. I have a 1.6l Zetec s and moving to either a 1l Turbo Ecoboost fiesta or one of the 1l or 1.4l Turbo limited edition corsas. I feel like enjoyment wise a turbo is much better than a bigger engine especially on 30mph roads. After having a 1.6l Zetec s I wouldn’t get the ST as it’s 1.6l too

Buy a cheap banger and get some no claims under yer belt lads
Why young drivers SHOULD buy a Mercedes Benz 6.3l AMG
Niall Smith no such thing
dawid up until 2014, Mercedes C63 AMG were 6.3L
Brad Baker No they weren’t, they are badged 6.3 to recognise the old racing 6.3 AMGs.
Jack Shotton Alright then like 62- -cc but still fucking close? does it even matter
Nah, not so common, go for a Lamborghini Veneno, only USD 4 million, bargain !
The video features a Corsa E, yet the title says a Corsa *D*, which is the generation before the E!
Fuck sake jamie you weapon, should feature a corsa c Sri though imo
Why finance when u can buy a older car for your first car then after few years get a decent car.
I'd personally agree with you. Being young your more likely to accidentally dent or damage the car. Best to get a older cheap car so you don't worry too much if that happens and no worry about the finance company

just bought a corsa D black edition theyre amazing cars for the price, just a smaller version of the vxr basically
Unless its got an after market exhaust system decent induction kit and remap it isn't aha

Just got one of these and really reccomend and not too bad for insurance
The adam s has the same engine can get them with recaros too!
I want an adam s in blue with a black roof for me first car
@Chris Lol my first car was a Corsa D turbo black edition, still no damages after 2 years 😂
