Imagine being one of those people halfway to the gate and hearing Halloween start. Personally, I was a tad disappointed to hear Ants for the 1000th time. Keep in mind this is on a Sunday night. Some people have jobs to go to on Monday. A lot of people drove up from Deer Creek that day. As with a lot of venues, leaving 10 minutes early can mean you leave the parking lot an hour or two sooner.

I've only been to 8-9 DMB shows and I knew my odds of hearing Halloween were slim to none. It's my favorite DMB song. I figured Halloween would most likely be off the table due to it being DMB's third show in 3 days. When they closed with Ants I didn't think much of it. When they switched over to Halloween it was instant goosebumps. For that one split second earlier in the week where I had to make a decision if I wanted to make another 14 hour round trip back to Alpine or make the more mature rational decision and refund my ticket and stay back with work. I'm glad I don't make good decisions. I couldn't even imagine what I would have done if I stayed back and found out they closed with Halloween. What an insane night it was! Thanks for the fantastic video!

I was lucky enough to be in attendance in Charlottesville at the band's 25th anniversary celebration concert where they brought back The Last Stop after an extended hiatus... to say I lost my mind would be an understatement 😂 so that was awesome, obviously.... but I'd give anything to get Halloween live!!
Its not what I came up on. Tim is way to fn heavy and truthfully he always has been imboydlosing eoi changed alot, but so did gaining jeff. There was nothing gained in bonds absence. It changed loads of songs dynamics ..
My family and friends think I’m nuts but I absolutely love this band.The music speaks to my soul! I’m so blessed to have witnessed this amazing set! Love that Dave scat!
The 2013 Alpine where he closed out the first set both nights with halloween was probably my favorite. night 1 went Ants>Halloween and night two was Watchtower>Halloween...Then both encores each night went crazy
