Bitoy Skii Eh, I think they're both fairly uninspiring. Metal Slug 5 may have had a fantastic soundtrack, but in terms of level design, colour palette and general aesthetic I found it to be the most dismal entry in the series.
(Actually, no; Metal Slug 7 would have to be the most dismal entry: it's like they weren't even trying anymore. MS5 at least felt like something fresh and new, even if it does lack the imagination of the previous entries and was rushed for release.)

Sure, you might see little UFOs flying by in the background but you couldn't fight them. Even if it's rushed, I think they did a good job on making MS5.
This song... I can't explain. It fits the stage just too well. Fighting in the jungle? This just fits like a puzzle piece in a picture of death, war, bloodshed...
The music video from Muse "The Knights of Cydonia" syncs up well with this tune. the perfect tune gunning or running over in the metal slug hoards of soldier men with your character of choice
