Love the axeice vids, 17 is such a great character to watch and play as. Tough character to play though, axeice is the only guy playing him who I can learn from.

A lot of people seem to be running him with Black, myself included. I'm sure there's some underlying meta reason for it, but my reason is purely superficial: pink sword supers
I've been running him with Base Goku and Gohan. Base Gokus assist allows for air tight teleport mixups (except for the air ones those are reflectable) and Gohana uppercut usually helps me get in the super dash lockdown or catches them off guard when I teleport behind them.
Not really it's plus on block and used for Oki and snap set ups it's pretty much piccolo snap bullshit plus Gotenks old ghost Oki cause you can delay orb detonation

@@hatchell18 He has a near complete lack of neutral. His buttons are all severely lacking. One of the worst 2 H's in the game. His 5 M is also not nearly what it needs to be. It needs faster start up, and possibly more height on the hit box. He has the worst slide in the game. If they made it 3m instead of 2h then you could reasonably hope to confirm well off of it. Power Blitz for how much it requires to set up safely either needs to be better or they need to make it so if you vanish or super out of the install you keep it. His wall cling is completely worthless as super dash completely invalidates it and even if super dash weren't in the game he gets nothing off of it. His solo blockstrings, while better now, are still filled with gaping holes. This makes his rekkas really gimmicky. And for the love of god give EX rekkas projectile immunity or something. But he can sometimes get good damage off of confirms and his assist is pretty good I guess.
@@haydenhyde9395 all of that sounds completely fixable in a buff patch etc. And you make it all sound really bad lol. But idk I still think hes good if you take the time to learn him etc but yeah he could use those buffs
@@hatchell18 And a couple of completely new moves, and even if his existing moveset did get buffs he wouldn't be anything more than mid tier compared to the unbelievable strengths even the high mid tiers have. Even if every buff I wanted him to get came true, without some entirely new moves he has nothing remotely as good as bardock lariat or light auto combo. He just doesn't have the neutral tools to be effective in dragon ball. And he is still my favorite character in the game bar none and the sole reason I play Dragon Ball.

Buu Assist and any kind of beam work great with him. Rn I run Janemba/ Kid Buu/ Black and it allows for some really cheap mix ups
