Good reaction. The band's concert in Makuhari this year showed how excellent the new songs from THE OTHER ONE album sound, I think most agree that BABYMETAL purposefully mixes records (not that heavy) so they don't sound as spectacular until the songs are played live, there is a big difference because they sound better and heavier live (for example Metal Kingdom and Light and Darkness sound heavier and way better live).
Mirror Mirror is babymetals 5th single that they have released off of the other one album in October Babymetal announced that they would be releasing five singles leading up to the release of the album the other one on March 24th one each month not counting December
You guys are right about having to see the ladies sing and dance and interact with the crowds to really get the full Babymetal experience. You guys should react to Babymetal's Tales of the Destinies Live at Tokyo Dome 2016. They only performed the song live that one time (probably because it sounds very difficult to play and dance to live). It's progressive metal, but with choreography and Su's singing. If you are missing the sick guitar solos...check that vid out, it has them.
There are pictures of them throughout the video, but most go by quickly. No dancing though 😆 I can't wait for you guys to hear the rest of the album. "Maya", "Believing", and "Metalizm" especially, but even "Time Wave" and "The Legend" are really good.

Unfortunately many in the western cultures have a mindset of I don't understand so there must be something bad or fake about whatever the subject may be. Not everyone obviously. Rock on brothers.
Big concerts coming this weekend in Japan, it's being promoted as the beginning of the new Babymetal where it looks like they're going to reveal who the 3rd member of the group will be. April 1st is also Fox Day when they make major announcements for upcoming plans, hopefully a major US tour other than the festivals they'll be playing here this summer 🦊🤘
BabyMetal has 4 albums. You guys haven’t listened/reacted to a majority of their discography. They have “mature” tracks from previous albums. Rondo of Nightmare. Akatsuki. No Rain, No Rainbow. As many will point out, BabyMetal has fused various Metal sub-genres into their songs. No 2 songs are the same.
I think you would like the band called SAISEIGA. They just released their second full-length album and they're brilliant. Vocalist Regan has an awesome voice. Please react to one of their songs 🙏 You could try "Jumble" (from the new album) or "Ride On" (from the first album) or "Go On!" (from the debut EP). Cheers!
Nice reaction. Songs from the album you should listen to next. The rest of the album. Babymetal saved the heavy for the album release. This album has turned out to be a very fun ride. Surprises over and over again. And good ones at that. For a band to pull that off after 10 years is amazing. Moa has mentioned that some of these songs have been in the works for years. Makes me wonder how much material do they have? I would not be surprised if they have another album come out as soon as next year. Which for Babymetal would be surprising. It's usually been a few years between albums. But with Su also mentioning it. And the amount of time they had to work on material during their sealed break and covid lockdown delays. I think they have even more songs in their pockets. Enjoy the ride through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.
Gimmie Chocolate is honestly one of my fav songs from BABYMETAL ever, some people think it's controversial for the band in a negative way like the gimmick stuff said in the past wich I disagree. But being honest as a complete song it doesn't hold a clear value as Monochrome or Light and Darkness, these songs may not have guitar solos but they are way more prominent in their nature sound. This album is not made for guitar solos its structure as a whole focuses much more on Su's vocal and her overall evolution + assorted instrumentation it's a very diverse (I mean it has EDM, Metal, J-pop but more linear) and deep album with a lot of meaning into it even more than some of their previous album but it has some some solos here and there like Believing & METALIZM. GM energy is not everything BM wanted to offer is what I mean.
For a crazy song similar to this is Tales of Destinies Live. It only has been done live once. However, you would probably need to do a logo cover since it is one that can be blocked. Mirror Mirror deffently goes up there as one of the best for Babymetal, Tales of Destinies though for right now is in a different level like S + tier like Akatsuki, while Mirror Mirror can be S to A tier for now until a live version comes out. 👍 👍 Don’t know if you realize but BabyMetal recently made an appearance on the TH-cam channel THE FIRST TAKE where famous artists are invited to perform a song of theirs in ONLY ONE TAKE. Raw vocals. No auto tune no filters and if a mistake is made it airs as is. In my opinion (and everyone else’s Suzuka and Moa killed it). Worth a look. Until next time.
You are already quite deep into the japanse metal scene by this point it seems. :) Check out Maxium The Hormone, you won't be dissapointed. Songs: Yoshu Fukushu and A.L.I.E.N. is a good start. And I think Babymetal is always better live.

Tales of the Destinies was super progy. I don't know how they react to that song. Its just too progy but amazing in the same time.
