I think the fact that she got a response, even if it was faked, means her sin was repented for. Someone cared enough about her to go across continents and dig into her dark past to make her happy, and if they were willing to do that, she must not be such a terrible person after all. Maybe it didn't matter what the response contained, just that it was there.

I think it was less that the response was meaningless since it was faked, but more that her sin was forgiven already. If there was a group of people who searched far and wide for one person's dying wishes, I think Riliane has already become a better person.
Plus it pretty obvious she knew it wasn't her brother's handwriting. But she was just so greatful for what the children she raised did for her out of sheer kindness that it reassured her that she was different now and she could rest in peace.

What's hilarious is that it's not Rilliane's fault at all. Rather her fiancé's (Kyle Marlon) mother, Prim Marlon's fault. She had Rilliane possessed with the Demon of Pride which is what caused her to kill people and be so greedy. She was actually a really really nice person prior to that and very loved by the kingdom but when she was possessed it flipped her personality and only certain people were treated kindly by her i.e. Allen her twin (Although she didn't know that till the revolution)
What i find most intereting on that is that in the whole Evil Chronicles, Rin and Len are probably the only ones that ever find forgiveness. And, are the only ones to ever request for an intervention of God, not a devil, having their wish to re-incarnate as twins...
Well ignoring the fact that apparently this isn't canon, maybe they were more forgivable because they were still children and have more time to repent and be forgiven. Also it could have been recognized that because they were young that they were more ignorant and impulsive which made them more likely to commit a sin they would regret.

After his death he was locked in a box until hundreds of years later at the worlds end when he was released to create a new world with his sister Rilianne (Rin). The story of evil is a small portion of a larger universe known as 'evillious chronicles'. The story of evil is based around the sin of pride and there are 6 other sins covers as well as origin stories and what the events of the songs did to the world.

I love how kaito, someone who saw her as a little sister (looked it up on the wiki, still I could be completely wrong) even after all she did, is the one to pick up the letter and then tell the children everything. He clearly cares and has forgiven her for what she did to him.
The video was nice. The only major issue I see is the font. Half the time it's very hard to read because it's only black outlined. So when it gets to a dark colored scene, it's very difficult to read (near impossible).
I literally cried watching this... Seeing Rilianne all grown up and about to die, simply waiting for a response to her message of Regret... The orphans doing so much for her... Tears actually came from my eyes

Yea i hate Rin too when i first listened and watched Daughter of Evil but after watching and listening to the rest of the series, i realize that the fault lies on those adult that forced the throne to her (a girl that hasnt even reach adulthood (18)), separated the twin and never taught her how to be a good Queen.I love how the series is not focused on punishing evil queen but on redemption and her wish not for vengeance but for forgiveness.

(still crying and my eyes hurt) I rarely comment on any youtube videos since I think it's too much of a hassle but I decided I should on this video. I only discovered this fourth part now because I thought the Message of Regret was the last. I started crying on 1:24. This is as heartbreaking as it is beautiful! Even though the response was fake, I knew that it was what Len wanted to say that's why I bawled hard!!!

It would have been a nice, rounded end. a conclusion. To be honest, I do prefer this song to be the ending, but I guess MOTHY just wanted the stories to continue.
It's not that bad you guys. Just think of this as an alternate ending, where this really does happen! If you think about it many things could go differently by just one action.
That was beautiful, very beautiful, but at the same time, it's quite sad. In the regret message when she felt how it's like to lose someone, and that she has been doing this to a lot of people, cities, and countries even. That regret and guilt could turn anybody insane, and yet she lived until she was old. I could only imagine the pain she shouldered all those years, and her only hope was a bottle with a message for someone no longer in this world, that is how deep her guilt is and she could never forgive herself until that person answered. I'm just glad its over now.

Also, the song Rebirth in the series explains that the boy that gave the letter to the nun (Rin) is a reincarnation of Len (her brother) as a chance of redemption for what he had done. In addition, he doesn't realize he is the reincarnation until she passes away and dies.
For me honestly I wish this would happen ;-; this song really hits hard to a situation that happened with me when I was young (I'm 14 about to be 15-! I know it's mainly about Rin and how she's learned from her sins and all...but you gotta admit, Kaito's life looked pretty sad too, just stuck in the past with what he had a long time ago and all he had was his paintings..but the young boy (Len) was sweet, to give the sweet old nun her last wish knowing what she had done in her past but not holding it against her. So basically this story line is Riliane has become okd so this a years a few decades later shes become a nun but to distract her she raised orphans and helped them survive poverty so on her death bed after catching a fatal diesease the kid asked her what her final wish was she replied "I want to know if the letter I sent when I was younger ever arrived or not so Ill keep waiting for it." And so they traveled all over the country to find the old painter the previous prince of blue aka Kaito and he told them the dark truth about her past even knowing what she did he still made the fake response to let her have a peaceful death and at the end Len came down and took Rilianes spirit to heaven therefore shes been forgiven when she became a nun and with her waving goodbye to the orphan kid she raised him seeing her off made him feel better therefore she is with her brother in another life happy but tragic ending I give this a ten out of ten.🎉

I watched Daughter of evil, Servant of Evil, and regret message as a teen many years ago and cried. Now I'm an adult and I don't know what's making me want to cry about this. Is nostalgia? Is it because I probably have covid and am super stressed? Is it because I'm now old enough to have made mistakes big enough to worry about? Is it because the song is super sad? Am I happy to have found the ending? I'm starting to think it's just all of these.
So, basically Rin kept waiting for a response letter she sent out into the sea for Len, even until now?? That's so sad.....Because we all know, and I think Rin does too, but Len in no longer alive in this story. But I suppose for Rin, the only motive for her to keep on living was "waiting" for a response from Len. It's sad and poetic how she died after she received the response she waited all her life.
She saw him decapitated, she knew he won't respond to the letter, but she felt guilty for everything, tho it wasn't all her fault, It's that fu-- mirror, it became the vessel of Pride, after that it possessed Rin, so she didn't make a contract with Pride, that period of life is almost non-existing, she couldn't do much on her own free will, so when she lost Allen, she was completely devastated by that fact, so she wanted to be sure if he forgives her.....

Hello and good-bye Usually I stop crying when I know what to expect, but I had to listen to Servant of Evil ten times before not crying. I still cry at Regret Message if the 'game for peasants' flashback is included. Out of these four songs, the only one I didn't cry at was Daughter of Evil.

I love how kaito, someone who saw her as a little sister (looked it up on the wiki, still I could be completely wrong) even after all she did, is the one to pick up the letter and then tell the children everything. He clearly cares and has forgiven her for what she did to him.
The video was nice. The only major issue I see is the font. Half the time it's very hard to read because it's only black outlined. So when it gets to a dark colored scene, it's very difficult to read (near impossible).
It would be better if the letters were filled in with white instead of left empty. White letters with black outlines are readable on any colour! (^^)

Yea i hate Rin too when i first listened and watched Daughter of Evil but after watching and listening to the rest of the series, i realize that the fault lies on those adult that forced the throne to her (a girl that hasnt even reach adulthood (18)), separated the twin and never taught her how to be a good Queen.I love how the series is not focused on punishing evil queen but on redemption and her wish not for vengeance but for forgiveness.

(still crying and my eyes hurt) I rarely comment on any youtube videos since I think it's too much of a hassle but I decided I should on this video. I only discovered this fourth part now because I thought the Message of Regret was the last. I started crying on 1:24. This is as heartbreaking as it is beautiful! That was beautiful, very beautiful, but at the same time, it's quite sad. In the regret message when she felt how it's like to lose someone, and that she has been doing this to a lot of people, cities, and countries even. That regret and guilt could turn anybody insane, and yet she lived until she was old. I could only imagine the pain she shouldered all those years, and her only hope was a bottle with a message for someone no longer in this world, that is how deep her guilt is and she could never forgive herself until that person answered. I'm just glad its over now.

I know it's mainly about Rin and how she's learned from her sins and all...but you gotta admit, Kaito's life looked pretty sad too, just stuck in the past with what he had a long time ago and all he had was his paintings..but the young boy (Len) was sweet, to give the sweet old nun her last wish knowing what she had done in her past but not holding it against her. So basically this story line is Riliane has become okd so this a years a few decades later shes become a nun but to distract her she raised orphans and helped them survive poverty so on her death bed after catching a fatal diesease the kid asked her what her final wish was she replied "I want to know if the letter I sent when I was younger ever arrived or not so Ill keep waiting for it." And so they traveled all over the country to find the old painter the previous prince of blue aka Kaito and he told them the dark truth about her past even knowing what she did he still made the fake response to let her have a peaceful death and at the end Len came down and took Rilianes spirit to heaven therefore shes been forgiven when she became a nun and with her waving goodbye to the orphan kid she raised him seeing her off made him feel better therefore she is with her brother in another life happy but tragic ending I give this a ten out of ten.🎉

I watched Daughter of evil, Servant of Evil, and regret message as a teen many years ago and cried.
Now I'm an adult and I don't know what's making me want to cry about this.

So, basically Rin kept waiting for a response letter she sent out into the sea for Len, even until now?? That's so sad.....Because we all know, and I think Rin does too, but Len in no longer alive in this story. But I suppose for Rin, the only motive for her to keep on living was "waiting" for a response from Len. It's sad and poetic how she died after she received the response she waited all her life.
She saw him decapitated, she knew he won't respond to the letter, but she felt guilty for everything, tho it wasn't all her fault, It's that fu-- mirror, it became the vessel of Pride, after that it possessed Rin, so she didn't make a contract with Pride, that period of life is almost non-existing, she couldn't do much on her own free will, so when she lost Allen, she was completely devastated by that fact, so she wanted to be sure if he forgives her.....
