Look, I don't care if it's heavy metal, deathcore, or hard rock - I just want good music. I wasn't mad that The Order of Things was lighter, I just hated the lack of energy and how much of a step down it was from their usual music. While I still prefer The Fall of Ideals or For We Are Many, this has energy, is catchy as hell, and holy shit that solo was something special. If the rest of the album is this good, I'll certainly be satisfied. Especially given how this song would sound right at home in an arena.
I really like this kind of ATR. Their softer stuff still has that same fire burning, it's just a bit easier to take in and gives a different effect than their earlier, heavier stuff. Still somewhat relatable with beautiful emotion thrown in. I'll still always love this band and watching them play This Darkened Heart back in the field will be moments treasured forever
