Machine Learning: Making Sense of a Messy World
ฝัง

- The world is filled with things that most of us are able to understand and react to without much thought… a stop sign partially covered by snow is still a stop sign… a chair that’s five times bigger than usual, is still a place to sit. But for computers, the world is often messy and complicated. Google engineers and researchers discuss how machine learning is beginning to make computers, and many of the things we use them for (maps, search, recommending videos, translations), better. www.tensorflow.org
Google engineers and researcher (in order of appearance): Blaise Aguera Y Arcas, Greg Corrado, John Giannandrea, Peter Norvig, Jeff Dean, Geoffrey Hinton, Anna Patterson.

Google is the best company in the world. People say that apple is better but no one really knows what google can really do. Without google this world would not be as advanced or intelligent as it is today.
I have the same toughts about it. I'm actually really interested what Google can do in the future
+Matty Boy Please don't think so black and white.
+Seed2277 No One says Apple is better than google, if they do, they are probably dead inside....
+Seed2277 They both need each other. There's no way either of them could innovate if one didn't exist.
They are just trying to make you think of something else than Googles AI stealing all of your personal information and selling it to the highest bidding company.
*Few years later Skynet takes control*
Watching this in 2020 and thinking how using Google Crowdsource is helping AI improve everyday, makes me realize how everything has changed so fast and how much we've achieved
Rest in peace Alan Turing

for doing this kind of thing google and we have to understand the concept of our brain/mind, that's extremely hard to do... We for sure will know how to understand that, but so far we got nothing. I hope this whole new concept can go as far as possible!
Google trying to make this not sound like skynet :P
and google made a good job.
+omegadan I think they internally have a system substituting 'Skynet' this word. It's too cliché and overused. :P
muzik ship
+omegadan How can they advance AI in a way that people will not associate with Skynet?
Kynareth6 By not creating a AI that has control over everything. They just need to create maaaaany little AI (which are maybe intelligent), which are running independently. When you live in a world where you have a lot of robots with the same intelligence as humans. Would you say skynet to them? :D
skynet confirmed
I'm at this very beginner 1 place ok wonderful advancements well recieved .lately I can look at incoming mail and look at the address where it came from and go to Google Maps.and temporarily type in or enter the address and ! There is the building location or better yet using Google Go at Google Lens.a favorite of mine Thanks Google Team.from a guest Michael morales
I can't wait for the singularity =)
dispeakble no, my prediction is absolute freedom.
+Jod Life Freedom to do WHAT? What exactly is 'forbidden' right now for you? 'Freedom' from what? Don't get me wrong - I simply hate these useless and abstract things that some people THINK they want, but actually have no f*cking idea what they actually mean by that. So please explain your 'prediciton'.
Artūrs Savickis I believe the singularity will allow people to live their passions. People now have to work for money, and imo, money takes away pleasure. Many people hate their jobs but put up with them because of the money it provides. I can't think of a better job for myself but that does not mean if I didn't need money I wouldn't in heart beat be doing something else with my time.
This is just one example. The singularity is more what one thinks is to come of it.
Jod Life Don't you think that 'singularity', how you call it, will actually make people realize how useless are their lives? The same thing happens to lot of very wealthy people, especially young ones who haven't earned their money, but just born in this total bliss with all the money they can spend - and this is main reson why most of them start using drugs, abuse alcohol, cannot sustain relationships and actually seriously harm themselfs. It's been proven that total freedom just f*cks up your mind and turns everything around in bad sense.
Artūrs Savickis I don't think the singularity will make life less meaningful, on the contrary. It will add meaning, it will allow people to work at whatever they want for free. Work is an incredibly positive action because it applies purpose and avoids all those negative things you've stated above. Working at something a person is passionate about for free is entirely more meaningful then working at something they think is bearable for money, wouldn't you agree?
People will be educated on how to find out what ones true passion is and to just do it. They will not need to worry about anything else other then working at what compels them.
I have yet to decide whether I think the singularity is probable or not... but over the next couple decades there is the potential for AI to get real scary real quick.
Creating AI is the only logical way to move forward, we need that incredible capacity to innovate so that we can figure out how to improve. Or if the machines feel like we're not worthy... Well, at least we created something that could carry on our legacy.
It transcends everything.
Simple Children, you know only incrementally more than your mentors taught you when they bought you your first Cell Phone.
This is a great thing that I have never seen, It so wonderful

There is such a movie.
"She" is a fantastic romance Director and screenwriter spike Jonze. The world premiere took place on 12 October 2013 at the film festival in new York. In the USA the picture was released in limited rental Dec 18, 2013.
About learning machines
GOOGLE OMFG I
I suppose what they are doing is more a consequence of the network, or an emergent effect of networking and data collection, than any special proprietary algorithmic process in particular. One of the speakers mentioned that their progress depends on computing progress in general, which gives a clue as to what is actually occurring here. The act of transforming data into meaningful data requires that machine begins to find patterns within the data, however arbitrary at first. It will be interesting, as these arbitrary data sets grow, what meaningful data will emerge that we are not actually looking for. The metadata information available within large data sets must be incredible.
Can't wait for the future!
Wonderful...these people are the pioneers engineering the end of the world...big applause for them please.
the best thing is to take the best thing knowing that the next wil be the next best thing
One of the differences between machines and humans is that machines don't have emotional influences, and digital memory can be copied and moved.can
change the BGM to creepy music, and the video will still make sense.

I'm just a high school student (Well, adult school more specifically since I learned at home before), and I have the intention to go to Cegep (college equivalent in Quebec) and then university.
I love programming and I love finding and trying more and more complex algorithms, and I still am hesitant if I should go in the artificial intelligence field or not.. this video gave me chills, it makes me so happy to know Google is working on artificial intelligence and if I could, I would love to join them in this adventure.
Me encanta el video y el sonido 🎈👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Seeing people working on cool things in Google, sometimes I feel I should leave everything and join Google.

I am sure Google employees work really hard to advance machine learning but personally I am disappointed with last 6 years of progress in consumer AI. We had Siri in 2009 (before Apple acquired it) and what we have now? A little better "intelligent" personal assistant.
Yes Google such an inspirational video will always look up to you guys😀
Is that computer in the intro the Enigma machine?
maybe it the Z1?
Thankyou Massive Dynamic.

Like all parents should be,held accountable for the actions of their offspring. Get it right Google. You will be held accountable
Hey created beings in the future! I'll be waiting gladly for the time when you are considered equal, and if we creators have to upgrade ourselves to stay equal with you we'll try our hardest. Good luck fellow creators, let's break the Cycle which has plagued the Mass effect, Stargate, and Battlestar Galactica 2003 universes for eons.
"If you can't take care of your creations, what do you expect will happen."
"If you look after your creations, the wait will be completely worth it."
"Just because you gave birth to your creations, it doesn't mean they will give a damn about you. It's all about getting them to love you through supporting them through their growing up phase."

Am I the only one who would love to have the computer in the beginning of the video than an apple computer?
i always wanted to work for a company that is trying to implement machine learning!

So building an AI can be derived with a myriad of methods and solutions to perform a single action.
"Normally if im writing about that means ive already done, its set" (it is set ) TGB the way i mean it
We shifting gears into the Quantum universe and the collective consciousness of humanity. At least for those who are going to take the stage and lead us all together to the new Nova Gaia/Earth and our Creator's plan for the opportunity to serve as the future leader for our selve and the collective community of ancient wisdom keepers and a new generation of new reality that we are all now living in the beginning of the Golden Universe... This is a 5th dimensional reality and the collectives have become the world's best way of creating the world's greatest human experience and the collective experience of our ascension process and that we will GLORIFY our CREATOR'S existence as we grow up and start to see that we are all about to have a wonderful story about how awesome we are and how the Universe works and our part in this now... Peace and Love to you all....Namasté
Well Google I need to learn English and one of the reasons is to get in touch with you maybe starting today
Wow. Geoff Hinton, right there.
what do people think is going to be bigger, Machine Learning, Data Science or Cyber Security?
Wow that is so cool! Machine learning is such a fascinating field and I hope they figure out solutions to some of the most common human problems like driving, language interpretation and image context understanding (computer vision).
Ok l
but can it find the meaning of life though? 42 doesn't do it for me at this moment
try 0
That's already covered in The Book of Mormon.
You are not meant to know the meaning of life. You are life. You are in it. It is you and you are it.

Can machine learning help Guidance Counselor better develop their work and reach more student, creating a greater social impact?
If so, can this technology be deployed around the world?
Can it have a gamification concept for students to engage actively in there daily lifes?
What type of data can be collected to help develop students, teachers and school councillors around the world?
Who can produce this solution ?
very inspiring
Have these people played SOMA yet? I don't want the possibility of the WAU pls

I found this really enjoyable.. Brilliant and extraordinary minds. Thinking of what is next and exploring tomorrow. Innovation, not finding comfort with what we have and hoping that it will serve us well for the rest of our collapsing existence. Google is the future. Ok Google! :)
Okay google, show me a stop sign
Why do you still need AI for this stop sign? We solve these weird captchas for you every day.
Super nice and intellectual technology!!!
Take the world, make robot better, creat basic income, and creat skynet for lead us !
Amazing music
!
Another surprise with Google Assistant .late 1 night I said ' ok.Google Assistant ' set an alarm for Monday Morning' before I could set the time ..Google Assistant said ' ok ! Here is what I brought up!' The Song Monday Morning by Melonie Fiona.( excuse me if her name is misspelled) what a joy is I went ahead and got up and just walked about listening to her song and the male vocal track
Formatting is excellent too Thanks Google as I'm still aware of this list of video/ music Formats
1:51 what's the pattern here between orange and white chairs?
Dude on the blue chair sounds like Tom Hanks
This is good clip for John Oliver's past episode 2030 titled "How A.I. took over"

We can upload a human brain in computer , whole population brain upload in a computer and free them to think
Yea Google I don't think your ready for me
LOL okay whose ever idea it was to put Jeff in the massive chair is a troll
Dear #Google, can you make politicians obsolete? I think that an AI which analyzes large datasets will be a much better representative of the people in democracy.
Unsupervised learning please believe me just TRUST ME
How is this field going to develop?
The computer in the first part had a rack that looked like a person, was I the only one?
If you have the Quantum Computing power: Find Emma.
Donyou say have roght rlemma????
what was that old computer in the first and last shot? Was that the Turing machine?
+RainAngel111 lol
Purple don't laugh, it wasn't in the subtitles. I'm asking because I don't know. Jerk.
p.s. the turing machine was one of the first simple examples of machine learning so it's a legitimate guess, especially considering the museum setup it seems to be in.
oh, well...
wikipedia says the turing machine is fictional, idealized, abstract concept. that's what I assumed.
Purple yes but there was a real machine in the war. It may not have been called a Turing machine, I don't know.
I have determined after much searching that the computer shown is the Harwell Computer at The National Museum of Computing in England.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! How do i love thee google, in quantum superposition....
I feel like Google, like Donald Trump, is trying to take over the whorld
I don't really think you could even begin to understand
